Raphael VS Katsuki Bakugo (TMNT(1987,2003,2007,2012,Rise) VS My Hero Academia)

"Scars are a truly beautiful thing. Yes, they can be a little ugly on the outside, but scars show that you're a survivor, that you made it through something, and not only did you make it through, but now you're stronger and wiser and more educated because of that tough time that you went through." -Kyle Carpenter

Spoilers are ahead, read at your own risk!

Before this lovely blog begins, this blog will go into massive spoilers for Katsuki Bakugou and My Hero Academia. If you don't want to be spoiled, leave now and wait. If not, you may continue the blog

Alright, good, you’ve been warned, you bunch of dinkies.

Raphael, The cool but rude turtle, the red mask wearing turtle, the rival to Leonardo, and the hothead of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Katsuki Bakugou, The Explosion Hero, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight, The rival to Izuku Midoriya, and the deuteragonist of My Hero Academia

Everyone has anger that they can’t contain. Sometimes they tend to let it get to themselves. Or others can get it under control. Or even use it to their advantage. And make it the rival of the protag of their respective universes, then you get a whole other bag full of issues that will probably get the best of you. But these two rivals show that behind that anger, they can be a really good person who genuinely cares for everyone, and they just wanna be a hero. Now let’s see which hot-headed rival will be the winner of this fight? Will it be Katsuki exploding the win from Raphael, and leaving him to blast off. Or will it be Rapahel using his ninja skill to sneak up the victory, leaving Bakugou sai-hing.

Hello everyone to my third blog! You know, you jerks clearly want me to suffer, don’t you? I’m just a poor trans woman! Stop making me SCALE THEM TO OTHERS, YOU MONSTERS!!! Jk jk. ALSO THIS IS MY THIRD TMNT V ANIME BLOG!! Jk jk again.  But this time, it’s Katsuki Bakugou From My Hero Academia VS Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

But FIRST!!

Here are some ground rules for this matchup! Raphael will only be using 1987, 2003, 2007, 2012, and Rise for his feats, abilities, arsenal, and even his skills, while Bakugou will be getting things from the show/manga, the movie, most spinoffs, and  both databooks. With that said, I should mention, anything that has to deal with crossovers outside of the the sources will NOT be used, so things like Batman VS TMNT, or Fortnite, or even Jumpforce will NOT be used in this blog. Comics will also not be included, with only one exception with ‘07, which will be talked about later. With that being said, let’s get onto my blog!! There will also be no games, except for one for Bakugou which will be in the Before The Verdicts Section

Background

Raphael

I guess I need to learn how to relax. To find my "center," as Splinter says. I'm workin' on it. Sometimes I envy Mikey his good-natured temperament. Sometimes I think I'd like to be that way. Sometimes…”

*As mentioned in the beginning, Raph will only be soft composited of 1987, 2003,2007, 2012, and Rise! Meaning games, comics(except for one exception), crossovers are not included in this one!*

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Turtles, count it off! God, who else loves the ‘03 theme song. It’s super iconic. Anyways, besides that, who are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Regular old pet turtles that got dropped into a sewer that was found by a rat that was a pet to a man who lived in Japan, then one fateful day, a canister of ooze dropped into the sewer, soon dropping onto the poor animals. Well yes, but actually no, Technically speaking, the turtles have many different backstories, depending on the iteration of the turtles. 03, which is the one we will be looking at specifically, is the one I just mentioned, while things like ‘87,’12, and Rise all have the turtles being pets, in some way, to Hamato Yoshi, aka Splinter, even though Rise had him being an ex-action movie star named Lou Jitsu, and 07 didn’t really go into a backstory for the turtles or Splinter, except for mutating from turtles to walking, talking, ninja fighting turtles. While all four turtles are all brothers in a way, one show decided to change it up, that being Rise. Not only did they change Splinter’s story, they also changed the species of the turtles, and the leader, and even the age. That’s right, in Rise, Leo is no longer the leader, and the second oldest and his personality is completely different, while Mikey and Donnie stay somewhat the same, except for Mikey being maybe ADD and Donnie being autistic, but Raph is now the oldest and the leader, but we won’t go into his backstory, we’ll talk about 03 Raphael!

Raphael's life began as an ordinary baby turtle. He and his brothers were bought from a New York pet store by a young boy. They fell into a sewer drain when a teenager inadvertently knocked over their owner, smashing the bowl they were in and releasing them. The teenager was saving blind man from being hit by an out-of-control truck. When the truck swerved, a canister of mutagen flew out and fell into the sewers after the turtles. The container broke and covered them in mutagen.

Despite being an ordinary rat at the time, Splinter saw the four baby turtles and decided to take care of them—inadvertently covering himself in mutagen while doing so. He brought them to his burrow where they all fell asleep. When they woke up, they were all changed, physically and mentally. Now significantly more intelligent, Splinter decides to raise the turtles as his sons and train them in ninjutsu.

Raphael's disposition as a child is similar to his disposition as an teen/young adult. He is adventurous and headstrong. He fearlessly attempts to take down an enormous albino alligator in "Tales of Leo" but has to be rescued by Leonardo.

In "The Lesson", it's revealed that Raphael and his brothers met Casey Jones as children, though none of them ever realized it. They attempted to teach him how to defend himself against bullies, with Raphael taking the most violent approach, but all failed miserably. In "Fathers and Sons", Raphael and his brothers defend Splinter and the Ancient One from a demon, despite being scared to tears.

Raphael is first introduced in episode 1, Things Change, in the midst of a training exercise with his brothers in which they are attempting to extinguish a candle in Splinter's hand. Despite his best efforts, Raphael fails to extinguish the candle. Instead, Leonardo is the only one of the turtles to succeed, leading to Raphael and Leonardo to clash. Suddenly a hoard of Mousers break through the walls in their home. Though they win the battle against them, their First Lair is destroyed and they are separated from Splinter. The brothers are forced to go above ground in order to make their way to their rendezvous point with Splinter. When the turtles stumble upon the Purple Dragons committing a robbery, Raphael foolishly jumps into the back of the getaway truck to hide. He's locked inside and subsequently kidnapped. His brothers soon rescue him, but they can't avoid a battle with the Purple Dragons. They win only to be accosted by a hoard of Foot Ninja. Unable to win against the sheer number of enemies, they have to flee. Raphael protests at first, but quickly concedes. They reunite with Splinter, who shares with them his discovery of a new home for them.

In A Better Mousetrap, Raphael teams up with Leonardo to salvage what they can from their old home. While Leonardo expresses sorrow for losing their home, Raph expresses anger and the desire for revenge. After collecting what they can, Raph drives Donatello's recent invention, The Sewer Slider, like a maniac back to the lair. Later that night, while watching the news, the Turtles learn that Stocktronics, run by Baxter Stockman, is responsible for the Mousers that destroyed their home. Soon after, Raph claims he's "turning in early" and heads to bed. Raph later attempts to sneak out, only to be stopped by Leo at the door. They begin to scuffle, only to be interrupted by Donatello's repaired Mouser running past them. All four Turtles give chase. They track Don's Mouser through the sewers, until they encounter another hoard of Mousers, which they fight and destroy. Just as Don is requesting that they leave one working, Raph is shown mercilessly and comically destroying the last one. They soon hear a woman screaming and make their fateful encounter with April O'Neil.

Raphael became one of the Ninja Tribunal Acolytes along with his brothers. He is the second of the ninja to focus his spiritual energy through the Amulet of the Acolytes and his spiritual avatar is that of a dragon. Although Raph gets annoyed with his brothers, especially Mikey at times, Juto-Shisho thinks that protesting out of frustration suits him when he boldly steps into the spirit forge and is granted Banrai.

In TMNT: Fast Forward, Raphael was the only one who hated the future. Mainly his frustration was aimed at the technique used in 2105, which was highly developed and he had the hardest time with the changes around New City and the world in the future.

The only time he liked the future is in Headlock Prime as he got to attend a wrestling match since he can now go out in the open. He also liked the fact he and his family could walk the streets in broad daylight without worrying about people being afraid of them. Raphael also fought the villain Triple Threat, who sought to steal the belt and they fought in streets of the city where Raphael was cheered on by the crowd. Raphael earned the nickname "Turtle Terror" for defeating the villain.

In TMNT: Back to the Sewer, the Turtles return to their present time, and even still Raphael is the tough talking New Yorker he's always been. However, in this series there are explicit facts that show that Casey and Raph are true best friends because in certain episodes, Raphael and Casey talk about the future wedding of O'Neil/Jones (April O'Neil/Casey Jones), and Raphael always seems to be there for Casey and actually quotes "So, ya think I'm best man material, or what?" Thus, in the series finale episode, "Wedding Bells and Bytes", Raphael stars as the best man in the wedding; actually catching Casey just as he's about to faint from nervousness twice. Raphael also helps defeat the Cyber Shredder. Raphael is happy to leave the future and be back in his own time, but Raphael hates talking about it. Raphael also seems to be the tallest turtle brother in this series.

And all that, is the story, of how, Raphael became one of the greatest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and a great hero for New York City.

Katsuki Bakugou

"If you keep looking down on everyone… you're never gonna notice your own weaknesses."

In the world of My Hero Academia, fantasy would turn into reality.

The birth of a glowing baby would mark the beginning of a new era as society would soon be shifted by the supernatural abilities, or quirks, that started sprouting in 80% of the world’s population. Crime may have shot up to an all-time high and 20% of the human population may have become oppressed but all that despair would lead to a new ray of hope through the emergence of superheroes, a concept that only seemed possible through fictional comics. The world would no longer be hopeless against the numerous villainous threats heading their way with legendary heroes such as All Might at the frontlines. All Might would be an inspiration to all as a symbol of hope and peace, and wouldn’t you know it, one of those very people just so happened to be a hot-headed child by the name of Katsuki Bakugo.

Hot-headed is putting it lightly if we’re being frank. We’re talking about one of the most foul mouthed, arrogant, and aggressive heroes the world would soon see, but beneath that outer layer of anger issues was the awe he had for his idol All Might. He had determination like no other to surpass his likeness and become the number 1 hero himself, and luckily for him, he was a child born with one of the most destructive quirks in the entire series: Explosion. With this newfound quirk, he would use it to bully the likes of weaker quirk users and even quirkless people such as his soon-to-be-rival Izuki Midoriya, or as Bakugo liked to call him, Deku, a name that translates to “good-for-nothing”.

Even with this relentless bullying they somehow managed to stay friends, but in all fairness, it’s hard for Deku to hate someone if they aren’t pure evil, and especially in the case of Bakugo, Deku had always looked up to him for his confidence and strength. He even continues to call him by his childhood nickname of Kacchan as a friendly way to refer to him. Despite all of Deku’s acts of kindness towards him, it would only make Bakugo’s bullying worse as he believed Deku was simply mocking him which further ignited his anger. The worst of it would come after Bakugo made it to UA High, a top-tier high school built for teaching the future generation of heroes.

Up to this point in life, Bakugo was constantly being praised for everything mentioned before (except the bullying), making him believe that he had a 100% chance of being better than every super in the world. His time at UA High would start to make him doubt his own abilities once he learned that Deku, the seemingly weak and quirkless kid that was merely an annoyance, was somehow able to make it to the school too while getting all the spotlight as a potential candidate for the Number 1 Hero. That’s not to say that Bakugo wasn’t praised just as much with his numerous compliments during events such as the Sports Festival, attacks such as the Forest Training Camp incident, and his overall dedication to win through any means necessary, but nonetheless Bakugo felt disappointed in himself for being unable to surpass his rival and prove that he can never lose. These feelings would only get worse once he was captured by the newly-founded League of Villains who wanted him to join their cause.

Bakugo would eventually be able to escape with the help of his fellow classmates but the confrontation with the League of Villains and All For One, a villain that was the polar opposite of everything All Might stood for, would end up leaving All Might in a permanent crippled state and unable to do hero work for good. This would put Bakugo through the ringer as he felt like he was the one who caused all of this due to him never being strong enough to avoid capture. He would end up taking out his anger in a fight against Deku but both he and All Might manage to snap Bakugo out of it and convince him that the best thing to do now is to learn from each other’s mistakes and continue growing as heroes. The fight would have its positive effects however, as Deku and Bakugo managed to speak out their true feelings and come out of the fight with more trust and respect for each other, and most importantly, a new motivation to surpass the other and become the top hero of the world themself.

From that point on, while Bakugo would continue to be the arrogant hero that he is, he would now always try to look out for Deku whenever he could. Whether it’d be saving him from Shigiraki’s attacks, teaming up with him to wield One For All in a canon movie, and being the one to lead Class 1-A on a mission to save Deku from going rouge, Bakugo would come to realize that being a hero isn’t just about being powerful by yourself, it’s about working together with many other powerful heroes to bring peace to society. Even when he was on death door’s after having his heart burst by Shigaraki, he would keep that determination to become the number one hero in the world, so with the help of Edgeshot and a little bit of luck on his side, he managed to come back to life and save All Might from an untimely demise by All For One. Now realizing what allows him to unlock the full potential of his quirk, he goes on to directly fight All For One and manages to destroy his original body before passing out while doing a victory pose (classic Bakugo!). He then wakes up in a hospital a little later, hearing about all the remaining heroes fighting off All For One, who had managed to transfer his consciousness into Shigaraki’s body, to which he immediately blasts from the hospital to the battlefield to confront him one final time… somehow.

With All For One and Shigaraki finally defeated and the Final War finally being over, Bakugo would wake up in the hospital once again, learning that his injuries from the Final War could severely cripple him from doing anymore hero work. None of that news would hurt him as hard as when he learned that Deku had sacrificed One For All in order to rid of Shigaraki and AFO for good, meaning that his future rival was gonna be quirkless for the rest of his life. Bakugo would start to regret everything he ever did to Deku as he believed Deku would still compete with him, but All Might reassures the both of them that they had both grown strong and that if it weren’t for their efforts, the world would’ve been in a much darker place.

After they went back to UA after the war, everything was normal for them, but Katsuki’s rival, Deku, would soon lose all the embers of One For All, deeming him entirely quirkless now. Eight years would soon pass, after graduating from UA High, Bakugou became the No. 15 (previously No. 4) Pro Hero with an insatiable appetite for crushing his foes. And that was the story of Katsuki Bakugou and how he became a great hero.

Experience

Raphael

Despite being a teenager, who’s a mutant ninja turtle, he’s quite experienced in many things, mainly things like ninjutsu and martial arts, and other ninja related things, like Chi Gong, which allows him to control his breathing and his heart rate, Okinawan Kobudō (sai) which his dad, Splinter teached him, and he’s a master at using his sais too, being able to disarm his enemies, throw his Sai with great precision which was able to hit a moving target which was a skateboard, and just for stabbing in general, but not slicing, and he was taught by his dad, Master Splinter. Raphael is also known as the strongest of the turtles, being able to hit the hardest of him and his brothers, but with him being the strongest, he’s also a very VERY hot headed turtle, making him the one to fight first, and ask questions later, but still, he does his best.

Back to the ninjutsu part of him. Raphael was taught by Master Splinter his entire life, basically when he was a baby, all the way to when he was a teenager, so basically, all fifteen years of being alive, he was taught the way of the ninja. He was taught many things, like mentioned before, the Chi Gong technique, or Okinawan Kobudō, but with sais, stealth, which allows Raph to hide in the shadows without being noticed, hand to hand combat, and many other things. Hell, you think Rapahel is only able to use his basic Sais like an absolute master, nope, he can use things like a bow and arrow, shurikens(like a good ninja), climbing claws, somehow roller blades, a motorcycle which was designed by Donnie(again, how the hell does a giant mutant turtle drive a damn motorcycle, eh, at least he can do the Akira Slide), then Raphael can also somehow use mystic things, like the Amulet of the Acolytes, or the Banrai, which was shown in the fifth season of the TMNT 2003 series, and in the end, for some godforsaken reason, Raphael was able to become a goddamn dragon, and used it pretty well(before his amulet was destroyed by Shredder)

Another thing that Raphael SOMEHOW was able to use without proper knowledge(well he did train with it of course, but still) was both the Futuristic Equipment from Fast Foward and the Cyberspace Equipment from Back To The Sewer(which will be talked about later on). See, now if this was basic ninja tools, it would make sense for him to be able to use it, but it is EQUIPMENT FROM THE FUTURE AND CYBERSPACE. The only one that it would make sense for is the literal brains of the bunch, which is Donnie. Hell, even Mikey, the “dumb” one was able to use these(even though he did screw up.) But this is about Raphael, not Mikey, he got his blog already(and now that I’m thinking about it, I should have mentioned that stuff in the other blog, but I forgot.)

 Katsuki Bakugou

Over the entire course of his life, Bakugo has been considered to be a natural-born genius with the highest potential of becoming one of the best Pro Heroes all around. He was already being treated as a prodigy for his quirk and high intelligence level before he even joined UA High (which in turn fueled his arrogance), but once he did apply for UA High, he passed the exam entrance with flying colors, getting the highest score out of everyone who took it. He’s even surprisingly talented in areas such as cooking and music despite not showing interest in either. His ability to strategize mid-battle and take advantage of his opponents weaknesses would let him come out on top in fights and he is usually perceptive of his surroundings, being able to deduct things such as Deku’s connection to All Might with little evidence.

The entrance exam wouldn’t be the only event he aced in as he managed to win the Sports Festival against the likes of other skilled students such as Tokoyami and Todoroki, and he’s overall proven himself to be one of the strongest students in Class 1-A. Pro heroes such as Aizawa and All Might have praised his sheer talent, he’s been able to overpower numerous experienced villains whenever Class 1-A was surprise attacked by the League of Villains, and he’s been able to stand his ground against the likes of Deku who was the literal successor of All Might and just as talented with his quirk as Bakugo was. His skill would only continue growing due to his determination to surpass Deku, letting him fight side-by-side with world renowned heroes such as Endeavor, Mirko, and Gran Torino while also furthering his quirk’s development and utility. He was even able to fight alongside the Big 3 who were considered some of the strongest U.A. students at the time and face villains that were way too much to handle even when they all teamed up.

Bakugou is also considered the third smartest in his class doing the Midterms, was placed in third in the Quirk Apprehension Test, was able to beat All Might with his rival, Izuku Midoriya in the final exams, was able to absolutely curbstomp the team that he went against in the Joint Training Arc. And how did he do all this you may ask? Well, despite Bakugou’s you know, angry personality and constantly shouting at people, Bakugou is a super smart guy who can ace really any test he’s given, and while Bakugou doesn’t like to be a team player in the beginning, he did end up mellowing out in the end, which helped him absolutely destroy the hell out of his rival team in the Joint Training arc, but this is a great thing to note because Bakugou can easily find out an opponent’s weakness mid battle, kinda like Izuku.

Equipment

(Okay, before we continue, since we are composting Raph, he will get all the weapons he has from the four shows and the 2007 Movie, with the comic that came after, but is considered the prequel we are using for this version)

Raphael(2003)

Sais

The sai (kanji: 釵) is a traditional pointed melee weapon originating in Okinawa. It is often mistaken for a dagger, but unlike a dagger, the sai is not a bladed weapon, instead having a round or an octagonal middle prong which has a sharp point. Therefore the sai is not actually suitable for slicing like a dagger, but excels in stabbing and trapping. Sai are wielded in pairs called saitachi in traditional sai combat. They are used for stabbing and striking, as well as blocking and trapping enemy weapons.

The Sai is Raph’s signature weapon in most of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle franchise in almost every single version he has appeared, except for Rise(he gets them again), although many other characters have wielded these weapons. Several characters in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise have used the sai, but it is mostly associated with Raphael as it is his signature weapon. Sai are sometimes used inaccurately as daggers in TMNT media.

Shurikens

A shuriken (kanji: 手裏剣, "hand-hidden blade") is a traditional Japanese concealed weapon that was generally used for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing. Shuriken are sharpened hand-held blades made from a variety of everyday items, such as needles, nails, and knives, as well as coins, washers, and other flat plates of metal. "Shuriken" is the name given to any small-bladed object, while "shaken" is traditionally used to indicate the well-known name "throwing star".

Shuriken are often called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars" in the Western world, though they took many different shapes and designs during the time they were used. The major varieties of shuriken are the "bō shuriken" (kanji: 棒手裏剣, "stick shuriken"), the "hira shuriken" (kanji: 平手裏剣, "flat shuriken"), and the "shaken"/"kurumaken" (kanji: 車剣, "wheel shuriken").

Shuriken were often used as distraction and misdirection tools and were mainly a supplemental weapon to the more-commonly-used sword or other various weapons in a samurai's arsenal, though they often played a pivotal tactical role in battle. The Japanese martial art of wielding shuriken is called shurikenjutsu (kanji: 手裏剣術, "shuriken technique").

Like any other good ninja, Raph  has different weapons, not just his sais, he also has shurikens, which he can throw to attack his opponents. He’s used these on many occasions, like a good ninja.

Shell Cycle

Pretty self explanatory on what this is. It’s a motorcycle that this version of Raphael uses pretty much everyday in the 2003 version.

Roller Blades

Pretty self explanatory. These are a pair of roller blades that Raphael uses in the 2003 series. He’s also super skilled with them, performing many tricks, can be used to maneuver around enemies during battle, and can also be used to maneuver around in his environment.

Climbing claws

Another self-explanatory item. They are climbing claws that Raphael can use cale certain surfaces, are sharp enough to dig through/latch on to steel, and can be used to somehow climb/crawl on ceilings.

Bow and Arrow

Pretty self-explanatory on what this is. This is an bow and arrow that Raphael is super skilled with, able to shoot off a man’s hat, as shown above, and he should be able to scale to the skill like Mikey, whom was able to hit over 20 apples off Donatello's head one after another and then hit one out of his hand.

Amulet of the Acolytes

The Amulet of the Acolytes is a mystical medallion that aids acolytes of the Ninja Tribunal to focus and amplify their inner power. It allows them to channel their chi until they learn to do so on their own. The Turtles and their fellow acolytes receive these Amulets during the episode Lap of the Gods. Kon-Shisho explains the Amulets to them, though Raphael sees them as "dog collars". The amulets are destroyed following the defeat of The Tengu Shredder.

Abilities from the Amulet

• Power Boost - Raph used it to pick up and shatter rock golems against each other that the others could not harm, only take hits from (Season 5 Episode 5: 5:13). Used his Amulet/Weapon to smash through a wall the strong one made (Season 5 Episode 5: 9:46)

Banrai

Banrai (万雷, heavy thunder) is a mystical chain sickle (鎖鎌, kusarigama) from the 2003 TMNT animated series. It is introduced during the Lost Episodes as a weapon with the ability to "crush mountains with its thunder." With Banrai, the user is able to spin rapidly in a horizontal or vertical position to mow down their enemies in a way not unlike a buzzsaw. By plunging Banrai into the ground, the user is able to trail thunder across the surface and blast an opponent. Banrai is one of the Fangs of the Dragon, and was the weapon claimed by Raphael from the Spirit Forge. The weapon is so powerful that Juto-Shisho expressed genuine shock that Raph had obtained it. It is unknown what happened to Banrai after the Tengu Shredder's defeat.

Abilities from the Banrai

• Buzzsaw - Using his powers, he could leap up and spin into a deadly energy buzzsaw to slash through Water Demons (Season 5 Episode 3: 16:58). More of this (Season 5 Episode 5: 18:13). More of this to cut down several stalactites (Season 5 Episode 6: 13:43). Spun in blade to tear through elemental robot (Season 5 Episode 9: 16:06).

• Energy Reflection - Could redirect flames from a herald of Shredder (Season 5 Episode 5: 10:00)

• Energy Blast - Shot some at Shredder's heralds (Season 5 Episode 9: 2:47). Made energy tremor with both to knock down heralds (Season 5 Episode 9: 8:25). All turtles blasted at Shredder and were knocked back by him (Season 5 Episode 9: 15:30). Made energy tremor against herald (Season 5 Episode 12: 15:06)

Futuristic equipment

FFRaph by Doctorworm1987

As seen above, Raphael has futuristic equipment from the sixth season of the 2003 TMNT series, which was given to him in the future by Cody and Serling. It contains a "Enviropack", a "Graviton Regular" and a wrist translator. The "Enviropack" which allows him to breathe in different alien atmospheres. The "Graviton Regular" allows him to adapt/adjust to areas with varying levels of gravity. The Wrist translator allows for him to translate all known alien languages;it can also be used as a communication device to keep in touch with the other turtles. He also has futuristic Sai made by Starlee, which can light up/glow when spun, vibrating and generating energy for stronger strikes, can emit electricity, allowing them to short circuit machinery they're stabbed into, can be connected by their handles to make one longer double headed pole-based weapon, can be thrown and ricochet off surfaces (while cutting them) before coming back to Raphael, can generate small shock waves when swung, can charge with energy before being thrown, and then erupt into a sonic boom powerful enough to knock a T-Rex away.

Note: While used in season 6 as his primary equipment, it was left back in the future when the turtles went back to their original time in season 7, thus making this equipment completely optional, so with that being said, they will not be used in this blog.

Cyberspace Equipment

As seen above, Raphael has Cyberspace Equipment from the 7th and final season of the 2003 TMNT series, which he used when Raphael gets digitized and fights on a cybernetic plain (See "Cyber Raph" below), he gained a pair of cyber Sai's, (read below), He can generate force fields, can generate large red shields that can be used to not only defend, but also attack, and can slam the shield to the ground to generate shock waves that disrupt/break apart enemy data. He can create a digital grappling hook to get to high areas, protecting him from being hacked/corrupted (though  completely.) He has a wrist communication device; also contains maps of cyberspace, inputting a code allows him to summon the "Cyber Ripper" (See below), can use wrist to make portals/doorways around the digital world, and can also create a portal that leads back to the real world if needed.

Cyber Sais

A pair of Sais that Raph had gotten from the cyberworld in the 7th season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle(2003.) It’s obvious that Raph does have access to them in the last season of the series, but Raph can only access this in the cyber world, so Raph won’t have them in this fight, but they are super cool to talk about.

Cybernetic powers/enhancements

As mentioned, Raph gets armor in the Cyberspace, which gives him powers and or enhancements, which  he has a lot less limits due to being in cyber space and enhance himself through will, by merely focusing, he can enhance his physical attributes and gain greater speed, strength, and durability, can become strong enough to smash Cyber Shredder through multiple buildings(which is show above), can roll into a red spinning wheel and charge opponents. Like his brothers he can likely: Teleport to constantly close the distance between him and his opponents, can hack into other programs to disrupt/stop processes and corrupt/sabotage data, though Raphael might not be able to hack very well since he's not as tech savvy as Donatello, Become fast enough to run up walls and spin into a mini tornado, can enter/infiltrate computer games such as MMO's and with players/NPC's/Enemies directly

Cyber Ripper

When in the Cyberspace, Raphael can use the “Cyber Ripper”, which will be discussed here, can be called upon at any time with Cybernaut Armor, go at speeds similar to Tron-light cycles, can drive up walls, can somehow bounce/hop to get to higher places(like a Warthog from Halo), can be programmed to home in on desired targets/locations, has a cannon mounted on the top for shooting blasts of energy, at full speed, it can gain enough power to blow up a large town (Since three combined can destroy an entire city).

But here’s the tricky thing, these can’t be included as they are specifically only in the Cyberspace, so they won’t be included in this blog, but it’s nice to mention these.

Raphael(1987)

Grappling Hook

The Turtles had their own custom made grappling hooks called Turtle Line shaped like turtles' shells. While all of them used these grappling hooks, Michelangelo used them the most frequently, but Rapahel has used these before.

Suction Cups

Turtle themed Suction Cups Rapahel has that he uses to climb up buildings. Pretty handy.

Cheapskates

Invented by Donatello, these are useful skateboards given to all the turtles including Raph.

Disguises

Simple trench coats and hats that allows Raph to somehow hide in plain sight as if he was a normal person and not a tall, mutated, talking turtle. Successfully outdoing Clark Kent's glasses as the stupidest way of hiding your identity in history. On the right, he also wears a rubber mask that helps with his identity, even though these masks are freaking cursed as hell.

Raphael(2007)

Nightwatcher Suit

A suit worn by Raphael in the TMNT 2007 CGI movie. This suit was given to him by an old man in a prequel comic, which should be considered canon to the actual movie, as the designs are the same as in the movie. He wears a suit of body armor that completely covers his body(that makes him look like a big metal turtle), and a helmet that has built in lights and a police scanner to help him keep tabs on crimes to fight. He also has a weapon besides his sais with this suit. (Also not rust proof)

Manriki-gusari

The manriki-gusari (kanji: 萬力鏈, "ten-thousand-power chain") is a chain weapon originating from Japan. It is also called the kusari-fundō (kanji: 鎖分銅, "chain weight"). It is weighted on both ends and is useful in heavy strikes, limb/joint locks, and trapping weapons.

Motorcycle

As soon above, 07 TMNT Rapahel has a motorcycle, but so does 03 Rapahel called the “Shell Cycle” which is good to note as well but still, both versions show Rapahel being a great motorcyclist, so this is nice to mention.

Smoke Pellets/Pills(also Jersey Devil Jumpscare)

Pretty self explanatory, these are some pellets or pills that produce smoke that Raphael used during his confrontation with the Jersey Devil.

Raphael(2012)

Fire Tegaki

A pair of Tegaki that Raph makes in the Vision Quest. These are very similar to Shredder’s, but instead of having three blades, he has two blades with a flamethrower pack included.

Smoke bomb

These smoke bombs were an invention of Donatello’s. They were made from literal eggshells and filled with flash powder. When the user of these smoke bombs throws one down - it will produce a smoke that conceals their movements and as such - allows them to make a quick getaway. The smoke combined with their ninjutsu abilities makes it almost appear as if they were actually teleporting, as the Turtles can disappear and travel impressive distances without being spotted in an instant. They can also be used to temporarily blind an opponent.

Tanto

The Tanto is a short dagger used by the Turtles. It is the smallest of the three traditional blades carried by a Samurai. In "Slash and Destroy", Raph takes one out to use against Slash after seeing him beat Leo up, since his Sai were knocked out of reach earlier in the fight.

Weapons Case

As shown above, Raph has a weapon case full of weapons, but since some of these are in other iterations or already mentioned, I will only go over the ones that don’t have anything talked about.

The Kunai- a Japanese multi-tool, often depicted as a handheld or thrown dagger. Traditionally, only the tip is sharpened, while the sides are dull; in most fiction and modern reproductions, however, the blade is sharp all the way around. Prior to its usage as a weapon, it was mostly seen as the Japanese equivalent to a trowel when used in gardening or masonry.

The Jitte- These weapons are very similar to sais, except that they have only one side prong. They are used very similarly and were very popular with police and guards in ancient Japan. They were especially useful to Royal Guardsmen as it was illegal to carry a bladed weapon on palace grounds. Thus, this bladeless weapon was invaluable to the guards and became a symbol of their office.

Some other ones that I don’t are the blade next to the Kunai and the little circle things that are below the shurikens.

Spacesuit

The Astro-Suit (Rapahel) is an astronomical suit worn by Raph. As a suit built by Fugitoid, Raphael uses it in order to survive in outer space during his space mission with Fugitoid of stopping the Triceratons from retrieving the Heart of Darkness pieces. Astro-Suit (Raphael) debuts in Beyond The Known Universe. This suit is also branded with the turtles bandana colors, in this case, being red for Raph since Fugitoid can’t tell who is who.

Although since Raph only used this for a while, he won’t be getting this, including the weapons that come along with the suit.

Laser Sais

Laser Tonfas are weapons of Raphael. These are technological sais created by Fugitoid for him and his space suit. Laser Tonfas debuts in Beyond The Known Universe.

As stated before, since Raph isn’t in space, he won’t be getting his space sais

Laser Blaster

Laser Blaster (Raphael) is a weapon of Raphael. This is a blaster that was invented by Fugitoid for Raph, which shoots some type of red laser ammunition.

As stated for the other two space weapons, this won’t be included since they aren’t in space.

Raphael(Rise)

Mystic Tonfas

In Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Raphael steals a pair of Mystic Tonfas from Baron Draxum's laboratory in "Mystic Mayhem".  It is a pair of Mystic Tonfas, duh, that has energy-generating abilities. These were destroyed by the Shredder in "Shreddy or Not", the tonfas were crushed by Shredder’s teeth, when Raph was trying to protect Karai. As I mentioned, these Tonfas have the ability to generate energy that Rapahel can use both offensively or defensively. For example, he can wrap it around one arm, he can wrap it around both of his arms, he can make it specifically only hands, he can wrap it around his complete body, and extend his arm too, he can make the size of the construct extremely big, he can even throw himself out of the construct, he can extend his arm really far too, he can also run and punch really fast, like Wreck It Ralph does, he can make his size giant, while making a specific limb super big, he can make a second set of hands to tickle…someone…yeaaahhh. Although, this comes at a price, these constructs of energy can be broken with enough force, and so can the tonfas as well.

Mystic Sais

A pair of hand cultivators with red handles forged by the Turtles’ friend, Todd Capybara, turned into a pair of Sais with the Hamato Ninpo. Like the Mystic Tonfa Raph had, he had the ability to make energy construct limbs, but they came with an added bonus. He can make mystic self-replicas of himself, but to note, these are very frail, but they can help throw off an opponent(Which will be touched on later)

Katsuki Bakugou

Hero Costume

To be considered a hero in the world of MHA, one needs a distinguished look to stand out among the rest. These costumes are specially tailored to strengthen the Quirk of the wearer while also suiting their fighting style, and in Bakugo’s case, his costume absolutely represents the kind of hero he is.

He also dons a different costume during the winter months, which adds a large black jacket to his costume instead of the regular sleeveless tank top. Theoretically the black jacket would allow him to produce more sweat which in turn can strengthen his quirk even further.

Grenadier Bracers

These two grenade-shaped metal gauntlets aren’t just worn to make Bakugou look good. Rather, they act as storage tanks that store any sweat that Bakugou builds up while fighting. Once these tanks are filled, he can pull the grenade pin on the gauntlet to release a large explosion that’s aimed towards an opponent. These gauntlets are the aspect of his costume that compliment his quirk the most(which will be explained later on in this said blog)

Improvised Grenades

On the belt of his hero costume, Bakugo attached numerous containers that take on the appearance of hand grenades. These containers store Bakugo’s sweat like how his gauntlets do, to which they can be used like actual grenades.

Suppressive Heavy Mobile Unit: Strafe Panzer

These retractable machine guns are added to Bakugo’s costume later on in the story, and just like his grenades, these shoulder-mounted weapons use his sweat as ammunition to blow his enemies to smithereens.

Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight

Gifted to Bakugou after he had saved All Might from a gruesome death, he wields this mechanical gauntlet with one mouthful of a name as a sort of brace for his broken arm. While wearing this gauntlet, he can go back to shooting his explosions at full-power but its actual purpose of creating explosions was broken by AFO. The gauntlet was made with the initial purpose of replicating Bakugo’s quirk and was a leftover part of All Might’s armored suit, which was composed entirely of mechanical replicants of the quirks of Class-1A.

This support item also caused Bakugou to have a genuine smile for the first time.

Powers and Abilities

Raphael(2003)

Ninjutsu

Taught to the TMNT since childhood by Master Splinter, ninjutsu is not strictly a fighting style or martial art, but the use of specialized military tactics with uses for espionage and guerilla warfare. The origins of ninjutsu date back to the early days of Japan, where shinobi or ninja served as spies for feudal lords. These warriors employed stealth and deception to carry out different missions, including information gathering, infiltrating rival territories and assassinating high-value targets.  Currently, the Bujinkan - a martial arts organization based in Japan - have dug up records from the Togakure-ryu school of ninjutsu which detail the essential skills every practitioner must learn, regardless of their mode of instruction. These became known as the Ninja Jūhakkei - the Eighteen Disciplines:

  • Seishinteki Kyoyo (spiritual refinement): A form of spiritual education. Before and even after mastering the other aspects of ninjutsu, practitioners must mentally, spiritually and emotionally prepare themselves for their duties as shinobi through meditation. The recommended points for reflection including knowing one’s self, nature, destiny, harmony, sight, the heart and love.

  • Ninpo Taijutsu (unarmed combat): Taijutsu is the common term to refer to any form of unarmed combat. Here, users not only learn mastery of striking and grappling techniques, but other modes of combat like mutou dori (fighting armed opponents without a weapon), koppojutsu (bone breaking), taihenjutsu (environmental movement based on spatial awareness) and senkojutsu (infiltration techniques). Some techniques here overlap with those taught in traditional Japanese martial arts like karate and judo.

  • Kenjutsu (sword techniques): An umbrella term to refer to training with most bladed weapons, such as katana, nodachi and kunai. There is also a distinction made between schools which teach dual-wielding (nitoryu) and single weapon (ittou-ryu) skills.

  • Sojutsu (spear techniques): Training in the use of spears, or yari.

  • Naginatajutsu (glaive techniques): Mastery of the naginata, a polearm. These are more known for being close combat weapons as opposed to spears, which keep opponents in mid-range.

  • Bojutsu (staff techniques): Training in the use of the staff and sticks. Besides attacks, practitioners learn to complement weapon use with hand-to-hand strikes and using the staff as a tool for movement.

  • Kayakujutsu (explosion techniques): This branch deals with the use of firearms and explosions.

  • Kusarigamajutsu (chain-sickle techniques): Deals with using a kusarigama, a weapon consisting of a sickle connected to a chain with a heavy weight on its end. Wielders of this often attack by using the chain and weight to immobilize an opponent or disarm them of their weapons, giving them an opportunity to strike with the sickle. They can also spin the sickle around to extend the range of their attack.

  • Shurikenjutsu (throwing weapons techniques): A general term referring to the use of any type of throwing weapon, like bo shuriken (spikes), hira shuriken (throwing stars) and tanto knives.

  • Hensojutsu (disguise techniques): Ninja were expected to blend in with the environment and impersonate locals with the use of costumes and proper acting, all through studying the area and planning accordingly.

  • Shinobi-iri (silent infiltration): Ninja were also expected to infiltrate any location without being detected, and this discipline covered all the skills needed to make such missions successful. These included causing distractions, taking note of weaknesses within the physical location or guard patrols, reducing sources of sound and light, and if need be, eliminating obstacles by any means necessary.

  • Bajutsu (mounted combat): This governs the use of horses as a means of escape or combat, depending on the situation. If the time calls for a fight, the practitioner must learn how to apply whatever combat training they have to protect themselves and their mount.

  • Sui-ren (water techniques): To cross water efficiently while maintaining cover, ninja employed ways to move across it quietly and submerge themselves in it if needed for long periods of time.

  • Boryaku (strategy and tactics): Aside from employing conventional strategies when the situation calls for it, boryaku deals with formulating more unorthodox means to win battles by exploiting psychological, emotional and political weaknesses to deceive and manipulate the enemy into an outcome favorable to the ninja.

  • Choho (espionage): This particular discipline was about using one’s mind to gather information and using it to further their goals.

  • Intonjutsu (escape techniques): In the event a ninja was discovered, he or she was required to disappear as silently and quickly as possible, using elements from the other disciplines to make their escape.

  • Tenmon (meteorology): Ninja were expected to take advantage of the local weather and adapt to the changes within it to exploit possible weaknesses.

  • Chimon (geography): By using the terrain of the area, ninja could employ different types of strategies and movements in accordance with battle conditions.

Stealth

Pretty self-explanatory on what stealth is. Basically it helps the turtles be proper ninjas, causing them to vanish in the darkest places, and can help Raph surprise attack his foes(Even though Raph can screw up being stealthy sometimes, as said by Splinter that it was a “poor choice” meaning that how he did it was terrible)

Chi Gong Technique

“Internal breathing”. Raphael can use this technique to slow his breathing and heart rate to survive extreme conditions for extended periods of time, such as a lack of atmosphere, though this does require some form of meditation and concentrated focus.

Roller Blading

Somehow, despite being a giant mutant turtle, SOMEHOW, Raph is able to use freaking roller blades, and he’s a damn good one at that too.

Raphael(1987)

Fourth Wall Awareness

Being made in the 1980’s, most tv shows in that era, specifically in 1987, the 1987 turtles(mainly the cool but rude boy, Raphael, who this blog is about) constantly and I mean C O N S T A N T L Y broke the fourth wall, hell they even did during the Turtles Forever crossover movie, which caused Hun to be confused (shown above)

Toon Force

As mentioned before, Raphael is from an old 80’s TV show, which means he also has some level of toon force. Now, he doesn’t have extremely busted Toon Force like Bugs, Popeye, or others, but he does have a good level of it. His toon force can have him levitate in the air before falling from a high height. (shown above)

Raphael(2012)

Tegaki Proficiency

In "Vision Quest", Raphael forged his own custom-made Tegaki, which resembled a pair of Tekkō-kagi but with only two blades. He wielded them as though they were gauntlets. He also used them with flame throwers, which helps with its striking force, causing more damage to the foes.

Pressure Point Intuition

As shown in "Slash and Destroy", Raphael is able to use the famous Pressure Point technique which he uses to defeat Slash. He likely learned the technique from Splinter, who has previously used it on him.

Raphael(Rise)

Energy Exoskeleton

Raph is capable of manifesting a mystic energy construct in the shape of his body. He can alter the construct in its entirety to giant sizes and also independently alter the size of its appendages to take down physically large or exceptionally powerful opponents. He can add additional limbs to his construct as well as shown in "Shreddy or Not" and form a more traditional energetic shield to block attacks as shown in "Sparring Partner".

Power Smash Jutsu

The speed in which Raph can move his energetic fists is increased, allowing him to strike with immense swiftness alongside the mystic energy's innate magnified power.

Tonfā Power Jutsu

Raph can create giant fists to attack and grapple opponents with, powerful enough to create craters in surfaces. He can dictate the number of fists to generate and the length, creating a construct the full length of his arm or only up to his wrist.

Mystic Punch Jutsu

By enveloping his natural fists in mystic energy, the power behind Raph's strikes is significantly magnified.

Power Punch Jutsu

Raph can create a large fist from his mystic force-field, capable of extending it to great lengths.

Power Tickle Jutsu

After activating his tonfā, Raph can detach his energetic fists from his own body and manipulate them as additional limbs.

Self-Replication

Raph can manifest duplicates of himself at an undefined limit. Each clone shows no decrease in strength or speed. However, these clones are frail, and if damaged enough, will disappear, briefly leaving behind a red silhouette of where they first disappeared at before completely dissipating. These powers have also caused someone who is a great fighter, like The Shredder great confusion.

Katsuki Bakugou

Quirk: Explosion

As mentioned before, quirks are supernatural abilities that are found in 80% of the population, being defined as humanity’s next step in the evolution cycle. While some powers are more common than others, a majority of quirks are uniquely suited to its user, and each quirk can be specifically useful in certain scenarios. Some are more fit for support, some are more fit for evasion, but in Bakugo’s case, his quirk was built for total destruction, a quirk by the very on-the-nose name of Explosion.

Bakugo’s quirk allows him to release nitroglycerin-like sweat from his palms which he can then ignite on command to create powerful explosions. The equipment that was mentioned before can further increase the power of these explosions but it’s not required that he wears them as sweating more is what creates the biggest explosions seen in the story.

Having his quirk formed at a young age, Bakugo’s become skilled enough to use his quirk in creative ways such as using the shockwaves from his explosions as shields or using those same explosions to quickly fly through the air (more on that in a sec). He’s even to drop his sweat onto others to create delayed remote explosions if something creates enough force to ignite them. There’s nothing stopping him from continuously creating explosions to break through the toughest of defenses. Although, the more that he uses his quirk, the more that his forearms start to hurt.

Now onto his ultimate moves.

Explosive Speed

By aiming his hands behind his back and utilizing his quirk, Bakugo can propel himself through the air using the force from his explosions. He’s accustomed himself to this high-speed navigation method so well that he can fly around his opponents and attack them fast enough to outspeed them. He can even evade attacks while in the air using this speed. He first used this technique on the ground during the Quirk Apprehension Test. The first time he used it to fly was during the Obstacle Race

Stun Grenade

Katsuki starts by creating a sphere of light between his hands that explodes into a large-scale flash. Similar to the effect of an actual stun grenade, the flash of light blinds anyone close by. This technique has proven to be especially practical against powers who are weak to light such as Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow. He first used this technique to defeat Fumikage Tokoyami.

Point-Blank Stun Grenade

A variation where Katsuki fires off his Stun Grenade at point-blank range of the opponent to immediately stun and immobilize them with little lasting damage. This variation was first used against Setsuna in the fourth round of the Joint Training Battle.

AP Shot

Katsuki stretches out one of his hands and uses his other hand to form a circle on the palm of his outstretched hand. Katsuki then fires an explosion through the circle, which creates a concentrated blast beam. By focusing the path of his explosions into a single point instead of around his whole palm, Katsuki creates a concentrated blast with reduced area of impact, but with enough power to successfully pierce solid concrete.(shown above)

AP Shot Auto Cannon

A rapid-fire version of AP Shot that has its explosion power reduced in order to avoid hurting innocent citizens who are potentially in the crossfire.

AP Machine Gun

A much stronger version of AP Shot Auto Cannon where Bakugo can go all out with much larger explosions at an even faster fire-rate.

Howitzer Impact

The ever-famous Howitzer Impact involves Bakugo pretty much turning himself into a human missile, by using explosions to propel himself in a circular motion to create a tornado while mid-air. The resulting tornado collects oxygen and even more momentum, which is used to fuel the ensuing explosion by transferring all of that into one hand. He's used this move to shatter Todoroki's Heaven-Piercing Ice Wall, and to make it even better, it's even his finishing move in Jump Force!

Explode-A-Pult

Bakugo uses his explosions to propel himself in mid-air while grabbing an opponent. Then, he uses an explosion with his free arm to propel himself in a spinning motion, fast enough that he uses said momentum to launch his opponent at high speeds. Good for creating distance, though you have to get close enough to your opponent to use it.

Land Mine Blast

Aiming his Grenadier Bracers into the ground lets him create an explosion that will blow back anyone and anything around him. This move proves especially useful when he needs to clear away gasses that are

blocking his view/endangering him and his team such as Deku’s smokescreen.

Cluster

When he was out of his depth against Shigaraki, Bakugo was able to understand the true aspect of how to best use his Quirk. After all, there's only one thing better than an explosion. Multiple explosions! By condensing his explosions, Bakugo can unleash a burst of explosions that can be employed in several ways, at a much stronger and faster pace as you'll see below.

Explosive Speed: Cluster

This is pretty much the same thing as Explosive Speed, but due to the Cluster Technique being used, it’s much faster, to the point that he can keep pace with Shigaraki.

Howitzer Impact: Cluster Bomb

Ah yes. His absolute strongest attack. By combining the use of the Strafe Panzer (The nifty Explosion machine guns on his costume) and the Cluster technique, Bakugo is able to turn this special move into a far more deadly one. As not only is it more powerful due to the use of the Cluster technique, it also allows him to spray explosions Omni-directonally. A fitting spectacle for Bakugou.

Misc Abilities

Fighting Skill

Even without his quirk, Bakugo is a monster at hand to hand combat. He has the fighting prowess to match the likes of Deku on multiple occasions, overpower powerful villains such as Kurogiri, and physically go toe to toe with ultimate power houses such as Shigaraki and All For One. His main fighting style is that of a complete offense with no defense, using his quirk to stay close to his opponents and blast them away.

Other ability types

Forms

Raphael(2003)

Chi-Empowered

With the power of The Amulet of the Acolytes, Raph is allowed to tap into his inner chi, giving him a red glow inside of his body, which is oddly visible, and it gives him a power boost, which allows him to destroy Rock Golems, and he was able to access his avatar form, which is A GIANT DRAGON, which will mentioned below, and he has many other abilities: he gains telepathic powers and can move objects with his mind, can create barriers to deflect powerful blasts of energy/magic, gains super speed, and are able to quickly traverse around mountains on foot.

Dragon Raphael

As mentioned above, Raphael was able to use the Amulet of the Acolytes, which helped him unlock his inner chi, and when focused, he can become a giant freaking dragon! Being a giant dragon comes with its own abilities. He is able to shoot fire from his mouth, which is red, has retractable wings, allowing for flight, gains a further increase in strength/power, as well as two large tails to whip/bludgeon/smash enemies, large teeth, and claws, and sharp sai like blades on his front arms. But this comes with a down side. Raphael has to be able to keep his focus, if not, he will be knocked out of this form, or if he’s in the Dragon form for too long, his amulet will break, and the focus concept goes with his chi empowered form as well.

Raphael(1987)

Unstable Mutation

Shown in the episode named “The Next Mutation”(Not that goddamn awful show) which this episode was the the fourth episode of the ninth and final season of the 1987 series. This transformation was possible due to the mutagen that mutated the turtles were becoming super unstable. And that being said, this form would have the turtles gain a huge power and durability boost, but for the turtles speed and intelligence to deplete.

Rise Raphael Hamato

Hamato Ninpo

Hamato Ninpō is an ancient mystic power derived from a very powerful source of unknown origins that makes the art exclusive to the Hamato Clan called the Hamato essence, a type of life force that is passed down through generations of the clan. Hamato Ninpō gives its users access to the collective power of past Hamato Clan members, bestowing its users a large amount of mystic energy that grants them various superhuman abilities. Hamato commonly possess an additional ability (e.g., technology generation) as well as the base superhuman powers given by Hamato Ninpō, but many users don't possesses a unique ability exclusive to oneself because the large number of Hamato Clan members makes shared unique abilities inevitable and there are a limited amount of possible unique Hamato Ninpō abilities. Raphael gained this form due to the training he did with April/Karai, and gave him his energy-generating powers, and even self-replication(which was touched on in the weapons section and or the abilities section!)

Katsuki Bakugou

One For All, Full Cowling 100%

One For All, Full Cowling 100%. Katsuki unlocks this form in the second MHA Movie, Heroes Rising. The way Katsuki unlocked it was when Izuku and Bakugou were being crushed by Nine’s Quirk, named Hydra, and the only way that Izuku and Katsuki were able to live was for Izuku to transfer OFA to Bakugou. Once unlocked, Bakugou’s explosions would end up being much more powerful. *See BTV

Raphael

1987 Cast

1987 Turtles

Heroes in a half shell, Turtle Power! As shown, and the versions used for this blog, Raphael should be able to scale to his 87 counterparts as both 87 Raphael and as composited Raph, well except for two exceptions which will be discussed after this part of the blog

1987 Shredder and Krang

The most toxic relationship in all of fiction, Toxic Yaoi with Tentacles. As mentioned above, The 87 Turtles have constantly went against both Krang and Shredder, constantly beating them up every damn time, but another thing, the 1987 Krang and Shredder have been beaten up by both the 1987 Turtles and the 2012 Turtles, meaning it just be justified for a scaling

1987 Others

It helps to have their friends and enemies in this verse. While most of the characters that are mentioned below, and then some, don’t have a lot of feats to help them, I am putting them together to help this section.

2003 Cast

2003 TMNT

1, 2, 3, 4; Turtles, count it off! As I’ve mentioned, Raphael is composited in this blog, or just as 2003 Raphael, he should easily scale to his 2003 brothers, or even the 1987(From the Turtles Forever movie) or the 2012 Turtles(Through scaling from the 1987 turtles in the times the 2012 and 1987 turtles have crossed over), which means that 2003 Turtles can scale to the 1987 Turtles and the 2012 Turtles respectively.

Tengu Shredder and Cyber Shredder

This section will specifically be for both Tengu and Cyber Shredder, which the 2003 Turtles have fought constantly, and soon ended up beating both of these Shredder’s in the end.

2007 Cast

Four turtles....four brothers....genetically reborn in the sewers of New York. Named after the great Renaissance masters....and trained as ninjas. They battled many creatures and foes before defeating their archenemy...the Shredder. As mentioned, I will be using the 2007 version of Raphael for this blog, as I feel like it fits the sort of theme. While this only had one movie, Raphael should scale to the cast that was in this movie

2012 Cast

TMNT

Haven’t you heard the theme song? Master Splinter taught the turtles every single skill they need to become one lean green mean incredible team. As mentioned, this blog is using a composite Raphael, so he should scale with the three versions that have crossed over, but without composite, 2012 Raph should still scale to the 2012 versions of his bros.

Shredder and Foot Clan Members

A beloved brother turned deadly enemy, Oroku Saki and the 2012 Turtles have fought many times, and eventually beat him, and since the 2012 Turtles beat Shredder, it’s obvious that the 1987 turtles should be able to scale to the 2012 turtles, and by that, the 2003 Turtles should also reasonably scale to them, and this goes for his army, The Foot Clan. The 2012 Turtles have also constantly fought against them, besting them in every encounter they have with each other, which means the 1987 and 2003 should scale too, heck, the 1987 turtles have fought against the Foot a few times.

Shredder did these

As Super Shredder he…

The Foot Clan has

Kraang

The Krang. Aliens from Dimension X. Throughout the entirety of the 2012 TMNT series, the turtles have constantly battled these brainy aliens, and have even went up against their leader, Kraang Subprime. This being said, the 1987 Turtles have also fought against this version of the Krang, so that means the 2003 turtles should scale too since the 1987 turtles fought with the 2003 version first.

April & Casey Jones

Always sticking by their family against mutants, aliens and freakshows, April and Casey have been consistently fighting many of the same threats the Turtles have, keeping up with them pretty well, justifying scaling for 2012 Raphael, and the other iterations that have crossed over with each other, that being the 1987 Turtles and the 2003 Turtles.

Other Mutants

It’s kinda shocking how often people or animals just so happen to get their hands or paws on this mutant ooze, huh? The Hamato family and friends have run across and faced off against several other mutants over the span of the show, with variable levels of difficulty, but ultimately justifying a scale, which goes like this, 2012 mutants, which Raphael can scale to, then the 2012 Turtles should easily scale to Raphael, which the 1987 Turtles scale to this too, and finally the 2003 Turtles should easily scale too.

Rise Cast

Haven’t you heard this show's intro? These turtles are rising up against evil, painting the city green! Now onto the scaling portion for Rise, my favorite show of the turtles. While the turtles are shown above, there will be different feats from people within this series. And since Raph has fought many times in this series with his bros, it’s obvious he’s gonna scale to his brothers and the others in this blog, as Rise Raphael.

Bakugo

Deku

Izuku Midoriya, or better known as his hero name, Deku. He has always been the rival of Katsuki Bakugou ever since they started going to U.A. High together with them generally being shown to be equal in combat ability with there even being fights where Bakugo’s come out on top. With that all being said, it is semi difficult to say that Bakugou can scale directly to the peak of Izuku’s power, including that one specific feat(we all know the one) but other than that, Bakugou should still be able scale to everything else as he can deal with foes on Deku’s level such as Shigaraki and a prime AFO which I’ll get to in a bit.

Oh and another thing, since Midoriya has done many feats in his different percentages, I will be sorting the feats into their own category and that I will be using for this section is both from Toxin’s Katsuki Bakugo vs Eustass Kidd Blog and the G1’s Deku VS Asta Blog.

Class 1-A

Bakugo’s freshmen class when he started going to UA High, a class that’s often highlighted to be one of the best at the school(And it’s the class that has the most trauma.) While Bakugou is considered to be the top of this class, in regards of strength and determination, only for him to be matched by Izuku and Shoto. He’s proven himself many times to come out on top during many events like the Sport Festival and the Joint Training Battle. He should also obviously scale to these feats, and maybe even upscale too!

Class 1-B

Class 1-B. The inferior class for heroes when you’re a freshman. While Bakugou hasn’t spoken to all of them, he has trained with this class in the Joint Training Arc, and he knows how all of them work, so it would make sense for Bakugou to have reasonable scaling to these guys.

All Might

Ah yes, the man, the myth, ex number one hero of all of Japan, the legend himself, All Might! Bakugo has shown to be able to withstand attacks from and even deal a small amount of damage to a weakened version of All Might but for the sake of scaling higher tier characters, we’ll also be scaling him at his prime since Bakugo can fight off characters that should be at his Prime All Might’s level. One key piece of information to note is that what could’ve taken 5 punches in his prime turned out to be 300 punches when he fought the USJ Nomu, meaning that prime All Might would be 60 times more powerful than his current state, and thus we’ll be taking that into consideration.

Weakened:

Prime:

  • Known to be faster than a speeding bullet

  • Using the multiplier, we can multiply his feat of destroying the giant steel cube by 60 (52.65 Teratons)

  • Using the multiplier, we can multiply his feat of reacting to his motorcycle’s laser by 60 (38.4c)

  • Using the multiplier, we can multiply his feat of creating a storm with a single punch by 60 (144.6 Gigatons)  [Maybe]

The Big Three

The Big Three. These three are Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, and Nejire Hado. These students are from UA High as well and are deemed to be the best students in the entire school, even able to rival pros too! It’s obvious that Bakugou has fought with all three of them so it makes sense to be able to scale Bakugou to these guys!

Pro Heroes/ Pro Villains

The country of Japan is home to many pro heroes and dangerous villains that have amassed quite the reputation for themselves. Whether it’d be the most honorable of do-gooders such as Endeavor and Stars and Stripes or the most despicable low-lifes such as Muscular and Gigantomachia, they have made their mark in the story at one point or another. With Bakugo now standing among the most respected of heroes as one of their all-stars, he should not only scale to those pro heroes but he should be able to upscale from every villain defeated prior to his assumed death.

The League of Villains

The League Of Villains, a powerful group of villains that have the potential to destroy hero society as a whole. Bakugou Class 1A have had numerous run-ins with these villains. Being led by GoaTomura Shigaraki(The goat who defeated Fraudito), they’ve invaded U.A. grounds on more than one occasion and challenged many of the more notable students of Class 1A, including Bakugou. In fact they’ve even captured Bakugo on one occasion and yet they struggled to catch up with him when they fought, meaning that Bakugo should scale above most, if not, all of the group’s members.

Now as for scaling Bakugo to Shigaraki, especially Complete Shigaraki, it’s complicated to say the least. Bakugo has been able to push Shigaraki back with his explosions multiple times and made Shigaraki feel threatened by his presence but he wasn’t properly able to hurt him through blunt force due to his high durability or keep up with him even when his quirk was removed by Aizawa. This is especially present in Bakugo’s fight against Complete Shigaraki where he’s only able to burn his skin off with his ultimate move and then proceed to, well y’know.

Nonetheless, he should still be able to scale to a majority of Shigaraki's feats because of his fight against AFO who is comparable to both prime All Might and Complete Shigaraki (not counting their merger).

The rest of the league:

Shigaraki:

 Vigilantes

Vigilantes are just heroes that use their powers to help others without having a Provisional Hero License. While the spin-off series, “Vigilantes” takes place before the events of My Hero Academia, it does make sense for more experienced heroes, like Izuku or Bakugou himself, should be able to reasonably scale and even upscale to anything that the vigilantes have ever accomplished in their own universe.

All For One

In the Final War arc, a post-revival Bakugo was able to hold his own against an All For One that had reached his peak potential in his younger state (long story). Bakugo could not only match him in power and hurt him with his explosions but he could also match him in speed, and since he can match AFO in his prime, he should also be able to upscale from anything AFO had done while weakened. TLDR; we’ll be scaling AFO at both his weakened state and his prime state.

Weakened:

Prime:

  • Should automatically scale to a prime All Might

  • Should automatically scale above anything Nine has done

  • Nine wielded a weaker version of AFO (the quirk)

  • Should be comparable to Shigaraki in his prime, if not higher

  • Destroyed an island when fighting Nana Shimura who was the 7th OFA user

  • Took a combined attack from numerous heroes and Gigantomachia and came out unscathed

  • Blitzed X-66 Fighter Jets that were able to dodge Shigaraki’s lightspeed radio waves alongside Star and Stripe

  • Omni-Factor Unleash is his strongest attack, which has him release every single Quirk he’s ever stolen at full power

Weaknesses

Raphael

Being a teenager, Raphael isn’t the best with his words or even his anger. There are some iterations that allow Raphael to keep control, like 03, but he still has his moments of lashing out. Things like 2012 can have Raph's anger really get the best of him, even 07 has this happening to him, since he was full of rage while fighting Leonardo in his fight. Another problem is that he can be overwhelmed with other emotions, like fear or anxiety, with Rise showing this part, having him break down due to his brothers either not listening to him or just him being pranked by his brothers. He also likes to ignore Leo's direct orders(not including Rise) whenever they are told to not leave, or just even when patrolling New York. Another thing that holds Raphael back is his ability to run head first into a fight, then ask the questions later. Yeah, Raphael isn’t the smartest of the turtles; he isn’t like Donnie smart, or Mikey dumb, or even a planner like Leo is, now I’m not saying he CAN’T come up with a decent plan, it’s just that the plans are more Leo’s thing. Now with all these flaws of this Rude But Cool Dude, Raphael is a proud member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Katsuki Bakugou

Being a teenager too, Bakugou isn’t the best with his words or even his anger. Yeah, back then, Bakugou was a very angry boy, and had an, I guess you can say, an explosive(heh) attitude and personality. He would constantly shout at his friends, and he would just blow up at people in general. While yes, Bakugou has changed his ways, being less angry and less shouting,(YEAH, BAKUGOU HATERS!) he still did suffer from that. Another thing he suffers from is his quirk creation. Bakugou has to constantly sweat to create his explosions, so if he is in a cold or dry area, it’s super hard for him to use his powers. Another problem is that he can tend to come off as a villain with how rude and dangerous he acts when trying to save people and his temper leads him to lash out at the smallest things. He’s developed a superiority complex with the constant praise that he gets for his talents and his determination to win can lead him down an undesirable outcome if he were to lose. This kind of personality can lead to him being reckless in battles and his arrogance and drive to win can get the best of him if he’s not careful. While Bakugou may have these problems, no matter what, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight will pull through and do his best to be a great hero, and a great student and UA High!

Before the Verdict…

Raphael

Why is Dragon Raph being included in this blog, but not Dragon Mikey in MikJo?

Now, when I was working on MikJo, I did put in this same section about the Dragons being included in this blog. While Dragon Mikey wouldn’t have worked like at all in the previous blog, it can definitely work in this blog for sure! My reasoning being is that there is a literal Dragon Pro Hero in the MHA universe, and her name being Ryuko Tatsuma, or the Dragoon Hero "Ryukyu". Bakugou has fought with this Pro Hero in the First War Arc. So he can easily fight a giant dragon turtle being.

So that being said, Raphael has access to his Dragon Form!

Cross Dimensional Scaling, Turtle Power!

Now, this is a doozy to deal with, as the turtles have crossed over with the versions being used(Except Rise and 2007, RIP) But even then, The 1987 turtles have crossed over with both the 2003 and 2012 iterations of the turtles, and the 2003 have only crossed over with the 1987 version, while the 2012 version of the turtles have only crossed over with the 1987 iteration. While these versions have crossed over with each other, it would make sense that each iteration should respectively scale to one other(except for ROTTMNT and 2007,  rip to them still)

Why is a comic being included in the blog despite which iterations are being used?

Okay, so the reason why I am including that comic that was mentioned? Well, it may be canon to the movie itself, and since the comic had when Raph became the Nightwatcher in this comic, due to an old man passing the mantle down to him, it could be safe to say that this comic is canon to the movie.

Katsuki Bakugou

Is Bakugo getting One For All?

No, definitely not.

The main reason is because Bakugou can’t access this form without having outside help from Izuku. The reason why he got this in the first place was because it was a last ditch effort from Izuku to help defeat Nine in the first place. And since OFA can be transferred via the DNA of its current user to a new user, it gives Bakugo all of base OFA’s abilities such as a great boost in strength, speed, and durability along with the side effect of boosting his own quirk as well. He was able to use Full Cowl 100% to deliver a powerful punch without knowing how to do so before and it was also used to enhance his standard explosions to the point that it could create huge craters and melt solid rock into lava.

While it would be a powerful part of Bakugo’s arsenal, the end of their fight against Nine would have OFA not transfer into Bakugo since he knocks out before the transfer could complete. That’s what All Might initially believed but he would later theorize that OFA stayed inside Deku because his determination to protect others let the quirk return to him. With that being said, Bakugo only borrowed Deku’s power for a limited amount of time and didn’t even get to keep that power after the fight, meaning that giving Bakugo OFA wouldn’t make sense, therefore he’s not getting it.

All Might is CRACKED AF!

(Look at this fucker styling while powering up)

Finally it’s time I discussed the elephant in the room: All Might dodging his own laser from his motorcycle. In case you’re wondering, yes, this is a legitimate laser. It may look like Aoyama’s laser but it’s a completely tech-based laser with the previous chapter calling it a “Organic Alternating Current Lamp” via the chapter title along with the fact that it’s a feature of an advanced Iron-Man like suit made by Melissa Shield specifically for All Might, to which she certainly has the capability to create said technology. It also follows all the laser standards such as traveling in a straight line and leaving burn marks on AFO while also being referred to as a laser that was similar to the lasers that Star and Stripe had.

The scenario is as follows: All Might commands his motorcycle to shoot the laser, and once it was already shot, he had to move out of the way so that it could hit AFO and not him. He then had to manually activate his thrusters while also sacrificing Tentacole (a different enhancement), letting him fly away from the laser just in time. He even claims that he would be more resistant to the heat of the laser with his armor’s optical resin which is meant to replicate Invisible Girl’s quirk. This wouldn’t be considered aim dodging since it’s stated that he starts moving after the laser was fired so this is very much a valid feat. Calcing this feat gives us an Armored All Might that can react at 64% the Speed of Light.

Since he performs this laser dodging feat when he is at his weakest physically (without the armor), we can then multiply this feat by 60 to get the speed of prime All Might. Remember, it wasn’t the armor that let him react to the laser, it was in fact his own perception and reaction speed that let him *manually* activate those thrusters to avoid getting hit. The suit was also made with the intention of mimicking All Might at his prime (in strength and speed) considering that it was the only way for him to have a chance of holding prime AFO back for long enough. That 60x multiplier could even be higher considering that the last time that Melissa saw All Might was in a state that was much inferior to when All Might made that initial estimate of being 60x weaker than his prime. With this multiplier in mind, this would put All Might at 38.4 times the Speed of Light.

We can then scale prime All Might to the likes of Shigaraki and prime AFO which means the likes of Bakugou can very well scale to it. It may be an absurd number given that this is seemingly only one instance of FTL MHA but think about it. Deku could easily compare to that 64% SoL feat and would also get to FTL with Faux and Gearshift, there are numerous feats from Vigilantes that a bunch of higher tiers could upscale from, and seeing how prime AFO could casually outspeed this weak but still very fast version of All Might, he could easily get to FTL as well.

So I am definitely considering this feat a valid laser feat(YAAYYYY)

So another one we should discuss. All Might punching hard enough to split the clouds covering Japan. In My Hero Academia: One’s Justice, All Might pulls off an especially impressive feat during his ultimate attack, landing a ton of blows on his opponent before landing one final punch that clears away all the clouds covering Japan’s sky. This feat was able to be 195.41 Petatons, a feat that is much much higher than anything else in the series. With such a feat however, there’s gonna be quite a bit of skepticism met with its validity, so it’ll be best to go through the more common arguments against the feat to see if it is valid in any way. Now you can argue that, “THIS IS A GAME FEAT!!!” While this may be true, The main story mode within MHA: One’s Justice is meant to replicate the events of the series up to the fight between All Might and All For One. It’s unknown just how much involvement Hori had in the MHA video games but technically speaking, the game has nothing that contradicts the main source material. It’s definitely in a similar situation as using something like Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle/Battle Royale, for Giorno, albeit the game was needed to give GER some more material to work with, which was also mentioned in the Death Battle for Giorno VS Joker. Since it was considered usable to give it feats however, you can use that same logic to argue that One’s Justice is a credible game to take feats from. You can also argue “Wouldn’t it be an outlier?” Well, here’s the thing, There’s no doubt that All Might is at the top of the verse even when he was weakened during this time, only being matched by the likes of All For One in the original manga/anime. He’s generally been able to change the weather with his punches as seen with cases such as Chapter 1, where he literally punches a storm into existence, or in MHA: Team Up Mission, where he punches a tornado hard enough to cause its existence to cease.(WHY and HOW!? I don’t know.) Him punching away clouds at those speeds shouldn’t be something that is impossible for All Might to do, even if he isn’t at his strongest anymore. Hell, most of All Might’s fucking ultimate moves DEALS WITH FREAKING WIND. ALL MIGHT IS A FREAKING PSEUDO AIR BENDER!

And with that being said, I will consider this feat a reasonable and usual feat!!

Let's talk MHA Lasers.

(and no, I’m not talking about this guy but god I wish I was)

Since there are so many specific contingencies with many different situations involving lasers, I’ve decided to clump them all under one category of Before the Verdicts so I don’t inflate the size of the whole section. To summarize this section, we’ll be talking about the legitimacy of Aoyama’s laser, the legitimacy of Flect Turn’s lasers, and how Star and Stripe and the fighter jets get relativistic speeds,

Aoyama's Laser (WHYYYY)

God, I do NOT want to talk about this laser 😑. Like, at all. But we have to talk about it either way. YAAA-. For context, Aoyama’s quirk is referred to as Navel Laser which, as the name suggests, lets him shoot out a giant sparkling laser from his navel area. Despite the laser looking like a laser, and having some properties of a laser, ultimately, it can’t be considered a laser that moves at light speed. Okay, first off, let’s discuss the rules that it DOES follow. It has been proven to act like a laser given that Aoyama’s laser has been shown to be affected by quirks that can affect light such as Thirteen’s Black Hole quirk and Hagakure’s Invisibility quirk. His Navel Laser also follows the rules such as traveling in a straight line, emitting energy, and leaving burn marks.

However! This damn laser breaks numerous rules such as having force, reflecting off non-reflective surfaces such as concrete and metal pipes, and being able to bend. Despite all these contradictions, Aoyama’s quirk is constantly referred to as a laser or light by everyone in the series as well as Horikoshi himself, making it especially controversial if these lasers are genuine or not. With all that being said, for the purposes of this blog (and the general consensus of these darn lasers), I’ll be considering them as light beams that can’t reach the speed of light. Somehow. His laser hasn’t been portrayed to move faster than other non-light projectiles and in a narrative sense, it wouldn’t make sense for anyone in Class 1-A to scale to that actual “laser” if bullets and lightning strikes are their main concern earlier on in the series.

Flect Turn's Lasers

Here’s another thing regarding lasers in MHA, Flect Turn’s lasers These would have to follow those same laser standards to be considered actual for real lasers, but luckily it has much more concrete evidence backing it up. While it does contradict some of the rules such as hitting the ground and picking up dust or piercing rather than burning, it’s emphasized in the movie that Flect’s quirk and his mirrors are intended to reflect light specifically. So in this case, these lasers have a more concrete debate in its favor but considering that it lines up with other feats in the series now, I’ll be considering it valid for Bakugo’s scaling.

Also if no one agrees with this. Look at his name. Flect Turn. Re Flect Turn. Re Flect. RE FLECT! REFLECT! It’s literally in his name and his quirk! If that’s not obvious enough for y’all then I don’t know what is 😭

Star and Stripe is NOT Aim Dodging!

Next let’s talk about the deal with Star and Stripe. This one is luckily not as much of a headache; there are just some things I need to clear up about Star and Stripe’s feats of reacting to light-based attacks. Her feat of catching a laser that’s thrown at her from Shigaraki should not be considered an “aim-grab” as she wouldn’t have had the time to catch the laser otherwise. With the way that her ability works, Star can only activate reality warping once she finishes speaking. She would’ve burned alive from the laser’s heat if she wasn’t able to catch it before she got the chance to speak. As for the pilots of the fighters jets that were able to dodge Shigaraki’s light-speed radio waves alongside Star and Stripe, it *could* be summed up to aim-dodging since Air Cannon was fired alongside it but I’m also counting it because it’s consistent with every other feat in the series.

Verdict

Stats

You know. It really only took me a month to work on this blog, which is good because I have all the info I needed, but besides that, let’s get into their stats! Now, this was a little tricky to get down their strength. See, you can argue that Rapahel is much stronger than Bakugou, being able to scale to Shredder’s Eclipse Feat, which reached 5.7 Yottatons Of TNT,which was used in his Dragon Form, which is much stronger than Bakugou’s scaling to All Might’s 52.65 Teratons Punch or even Deku’s 78.9 Teratons. But here’s the thing, even if Bakugou can get Raph out of that form to wear him down, or even outspeed him, which I talk about in a little, the strongest Raph can get is 6.5 Teratons of TNT from the final attack in the Rise TV Show. So Base Bakugou is 12.1 times stronger than Base Raphael, without including Dragon Raph, but if we wanna do 03 Raph VS Bakugou, the strongest Raph can get is 21.6 Kilotons against Bakugou’s 418.8 Kilotons to his 500 Kilotons Of TNT. This means for the 414.8 Kiltons feat, Bakugou is 19.38 times stronger than Raphael, then for the 500 Kilotons means he is 23.148 times stronger than Raphael from the 03 version. So, including Dragon Form Raph is 72243346007.6 times or 72 Billion times stronger than Bakugou, but excluding that, Base Bakugou is 12.1 times stronger than Comp Raphael(with the rise feat) then without any scaling included(I know the kilotons feat is from C'hrell, but Raph still harmed C'hrell) Bakugou is either 19.38 to 23.148 times stronger than Raphael. Now for speed, so with Composite Raph, the fastest he can get is 3.11c, which makes him around FTL to FTL+ speeds, but then Bakugou on the other hand can get to many, and I mean many times FTL, let’s break it down. Bakugou should be able to scale to Jiro, who blocked a radio wave from AFO, which reached 60.42c or his scaling can go with All Might which reached 38.4c including the multiplier from Prime Might, but normally it was 0.64c, but still, All Might was able to react to his laser, IN HIS WEAKENED form, and Bakugou BLITZED AFO later on in their fight, meaning Bakugou can easily upscale this, but if we aren’t including Comp Raphael, his speed would reach 68.19% the SOL, which is far slower than whatever Bakugou can reach. With that being said, Raphael gets one point for Strength regarding Dragon Raph, but Bakugou will also get a point for Strength regarding other strength feats, with both his own, and the shared feat from Izuku, then the Speed one.

Now, here’s why I’m allowing Bakugou to get the 78.9 Teratons of TNT from the Second Movie. You could argue that Bakugou can only reach that level with One For All, while this IS likely true, Bakugou has been able to reach this level of strength WITHOUT One For All, but I am still giving it to him!

Arsenal and Abilities

Alright, time to go into their arsenal and abilities! Okay, like Izuku VS Rise Leonardo, this is pretty obvious in the arsenal category. While Bakugou has costume items, like his  Grenadier Bracers, his improvised grenades, then two that really increase the pain, his Strafe Panzer and the Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight support item from All Might. While these are really good to help cause more damage, it’s all he really has, but on the other hand, Raphael has more weapons, while some aren’t really good, he does have some good ones, like his Banrai, the Amulet of the Acolytes, his Mystic Tonfas and Sais from Rise, which give him abilities which will be discussed in this next section. So for arsenal, I feel like it  should be semi equal, but due to the variety, Raphael takes it. Now time for arsenal. You could argue that Raphael has much better abilities, but most of his abilities revolve around his weapons only, while yes, he has ninjutsu training, Bakugou can also fight. So I will talk about everything else. Raphael can summon lightning using his Banrai, he can become a dragon with the Amulet of the Acolytes, he can create a Susanoo like structure around his body with his Tonfas, he can make duplicates with his Mystic Sais/Hamato Ninpo. While these are cool abilities, the only way Raph can use these abilities is with his weapons, while Bakugou can always use his powers, or his quirk without using any weapons. So in this case, Bakugou gets a point for abilities, while Raphael gets a point for arsenal.

Tertiary Factors

Okay, let's go over the tertiary factors for this blog. It'll be Experience, Skill, and Intelligence. It’s pretty obvious who takes Skill in this. Yeah, while Bakugou can fight, he doesn’t really have much regarding Skill, the one who easily takes this is Raphael. Raph has been trained in Ninjutsu, which Bakugou has NOTHING on, but Bakugou is super smart, which will be the next category. Intelligence. Now, Raph isn’t a full on idiot who can’t think, he’s smart, but he doesn’t come up with plans in the MIDDLE OF A DAMN BATTLE, like how Bakugou does. Bakugou can easily come up with a plan in the middle of a fight, while ANALYZING his opponent, like he did in his fight with Shoto against Jill and Hugo Gorrini, and Bakugou has aced every test he’s been given. And now, time for the last one, Experience. Now, you can argue that Raph should get this without a doubt, but this is TRAINING experience, not FIGHTING experience and since Bakugou is older by the end of the series, he would take experience, correct? Wrong. While Post-Time Skip Bakugou is much older, we don’t really see him fighting(well he has too since he is the fifthteenth ranked hero) but I'm doing this as Bakugou in his peak, meaning Bakugou when he was in UA. So, here’s the thing. Raph didn’t fight actual opponents until around the same age as Bakugou when he started to fight too. So in this case, Raph gets a point for Skill, Bakugou gets two points for IQ and Battle IQ, then they tie in experience, so they both get a point for them.

Summary

Raphael

"I am green vengeance!"

Advantages:

  • Has superior training than Bakugou does

  • …Things like the Hamato Ninpo can help him gain abilities BUT…’

  • Likely stronger in his dragon form, due to scaling to Dragon Shredder BUT…

  • His energy constructs from Rise have to hit very VERY hard

  • Can confuse Bakugou with his self replication from Rise although..

  • His ninja stealth can help Raphael make surprise attacks with Bakugou

  • Can use pressure points on Bakugou although…

  • Has more weapons than Bakugou

  • Had a great character arc in 03

  • Has a great personality in Ris

Equal:

  • Are the rivals of the main character, sadge

  • Similar Experience

  • Equal Durability in a way

  • Equal Mobility and Agility, but with Ninja related training

Disadvantages:

  • Most of Raph’s powers are from his weapons although…

  • …He still needs weapons to access them

  • Weapons can be easily destroyed due to Bakugou’s explosions

  • Can’t get close to Bakugou due to Bakugou keeping his distance with his quirk.

  • Not as smart as Bakugou regarding his Battle IQ and IQ

  • Can’t really control his anger as good, but still is able

  • Can lose focus in his Chi-empowered and Dragon form

  • …He is slower than Bakugou, and is weaker out of his dragon form

  • …Bakugou can easily figure out how to get Raphael when he uses his self replication

  • …Bakugou will likely shrug off the pressure points

  • Most of the stabbing items Raphael has won’t do jack squat to Bakugou

  • Raph’s powers from Rise are semi-similar to Nine’s so Katsuki can use that to his advantage

  • Disrespected in his death battle

  • The incest part of the community(Yes, this is sadly real)

Katsuki Bakugou

“Hey Izuku… Can I still catch up to you…?”

Advantages:

  • Abilities from his quirk are natural and doesn’t need specific weapons for them to work

  • Can easily counter the weapons of Rapahel due to his quirk just exploding them

  • Faster than Raph, regarding the multiplier BUT…

  • …He can easily upscale the feat from All Might

  • Bakugou is a ranged and close ranged fighter

  • Has some sort of Dura Neg due to his explosions being able to negate ShigAFO’s regeneration.

  • Smarter regarding Battle IQ and regular IQ

  • Has better control regarding his anger

  • …Bakugou has pushed through the pain from his quirk being overused

  • …He is much stronger than Raphael out of his dragon form

  • …Bakugou being smarter, can find the real Raph

  • …He can possibly shrug it off

  •  Has the ability to revive himself…

  • Bakugou fought Nine, who had a power semi-similar to the powers from Rise

  • Got a good character development arc(FIGHT ME)

  • Matt Curtin

  • His actor appeared on Death Battle Cast

Equal:

  • Are the rivals of the main character, sadge

  • Similar Experience

  • Equal Durability in a way

  • Equal Mobility and Agility, but with explosions

Disadvantages:

  • …slower by a little bit without multiplier BUT…

  • His forearms will hurt a lot if he continues to his quirk although…

  • Likely weaker regarding Dragon form Raph BUT…

  • Can be confused with the self replications from Rise Raph’s abilities but…

  • Less training

  • Raph can surprise Bakugou with his stealth

  • Pressure points can be used against him although…

  • Not as much weapons than Raphael and is only costume items

  •  …but he’ll continue to feel copious amounts of pain and a revival isn’t always guaranteed

  •  Was the number four hero before getting demoted to the 15th

  • The shipping part of the community

In conclusion, this matchup is kinda debatable. Now, let’s discuss this now. Okay, let’s go into Strength. Normally, Bakugou would easily take this. His feat from the Double Detroit Smash, placed him at 78.9 Teratons of TNT, while Raph comped is put at 6.5 Teratons of TNT, which that makes Bakugou 12.1 times stronger than Raphael, but here’s the elephant in the room, or should I saw, the Dragon in the room. That’s right, Dragon Raphael. Dragon Raph should have power that should be scaled to Dragon Shredder, who is 5.7 Yottatons Of TNT, which puts Dragon Raph 72243346007.6 times or 72 Billion times stronger than our Explosion King. But here’s the thing. Bakugou wouldn’t LET Raph even touch him, and paired with Bakugou’s explosions, helping him move out of the way, he could easily maneuver and tire Raph out. But Let’s mention 03 Raph and Bakugou WITHOUT any scaling. Bakugou can get to 418.8 Kilotons Of TNT to 500 Kilotons Of TNT, while Raph gets to 21.6 Kilotons Of TNT, meaning Bakugou is 19.38 to 23.148 times stronger than Raphael. Now for speed. Comp Raph can get to 3.11 times FTL, and Bakugou can get to 38.4 times FTL, due to scaling to All Might, who dodged the laser, with the sixty times multiplier, and normally it would be 64% SOL, so Bakugou should EASILY scale to this, and upscale it too, being able to outspeed and catch up to AFO, who ALSO dodged this laser. Without comp Raph, the fastest he got wass 68.19% SOL, so meaning Raph is SLIGHTLY faster, but not by much, but here’s another thing, Bakugou can EASILY upscale this feat. No matter what you could give Raph, Bakugou can easily win, but with Dragon, he loses, but without, he wins by a landslide.

With Bakugou’s Strength, and Debatable Speed advantage, he should easily destroy Raph. Yes, Raphael has more weapons, Bakugou can just explode the crap out of them, and with Bakugou’s superior intelligence regarding IQ and Battle IQ, he can easily make Dragon Raph go bye bye. While Raph has better training, everything that Bakugou has is way too much for Raph to even handle.

While Raph is a great opponent, and formidable foe, Bakugou just gave Raph a shell of a bad time, leaving Raph tur-tally not seeing Bakugou’s explosive strength, and left Raph sai-hing. I guess you can say, Bakugou got the point of this fight!

The Winner of this Blog is Katsuki “Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight" Bakugou!

One More Thing

Here it is! It’s finally done, after like two months, and a couple days. You know, you might say that this blog was done way faster than MikJo, you’d be correct. The reason being is that I was actually working on this blog, and the one after this(didn’t get far though) during writing MikJo, which is why I actually stopped working on it for a while, cause I didn’t wanna strain my mental health, so this blog was put on the back until I finished MikJo, and I was actually able to use the feats from that blog for scaling(well from Saul’s blog for SplintFu but still) and all the other ones really helped. See, this matchup might be my third favorite of all time, and it’s my third blog too. And honestly, this blog was a good way to show that Bakugou is a good character, and Raph too.
