Michelangelo VS Joseph Joestar (TMNT(1987, 2003, 2012, Rise) VS JoJo's Bizarre Adventures)

“When you radiate good vibes, you inspire others to do the same. Be the catalyst for positivity in the world.” –Joyce Meyer, “Battlefield of the Mind”

Michelangelo, the Party Dude, The Skateboarding Turtle, The Youngest turtle of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Joseph Joestar, The Second Joestar of the Joestar Family, the Nigerundayo Man, and The Protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency!

Each family has their own person, the lead who tells everyone what to do, the one who has anger issues, the one who's a smarty-pants, and the one who's a crazy goofball who loves to be lazy and does not want to do anything. But these two lovable goofballs have shown throughout time, they can do the best they can to their he0arts' extent, and they can actually be the longest lasting family member, and even mature! Now let's see which goofball will win this fight? Will it be Mikey sneaking the win from Joseph, and only letting him say “oh no!” Or will it be Joseph taking Mikey's breath and trapping the win?

Hello everyone to my second blog!! Kinda ironic that this matchup is my second favorite of all time. Well besides that. It's Michelangelo from TMNT VS Joseph Joestar from JoJo's Bizarre Adventures!!

But FIRST!(thanks uhyeah)

Here are some ground rules! Mikey will only be using 1987, 2003, 2012, and Rise, while Joseph will be using both part two and three for his character, and he will be using feats from part one, two, and three for reasons, which this means. Mikey is not getting any comics, games, or crossovers, and Joseph is not getting anything outside of the manga/anime for this blog!

*Joseph can likely scale to people like Jonathan and Dio from part one as he uses hamon like Jonathan does, and he was able to go toe to toe with Dio himself so it's reasonable that Joseph can scale to people in part 1.*

Background

Michelangelo

“What a goofy thing to be! But it's fun! I dunno, the other guys seem so down sometimes, they need me around just to lighten things up! Life's a beach!”

*As mentioned in the beginning, Mikey will only be soft composited of 1987, 2003, 2012, and Rise! Meaning games, comics, crossovers are not included in this one!*

Ninjas. Those sneaky assassins from Japan. We all love how badass they can be. Their stealth, their weapons, just everything about them is so freaking cool. Now how about we make four of them into teenagers ,and mutants, AND DAMN TURTLES?! Well you get the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or the Mad Dogs including Rise.

Who are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles you may ask? Well it’s in their title, kind of obvious, but to those living under a rock, it is a group of four brothers, who have a mutant rat father who’s also their sensei, and like their father, they are mutated creatures, either from a rat finding them or a human finding them, then ooze gets onto them but throughout the many different versions of the turtles, they all have the same four, Leonardo, The Leader in Blue(If you’re Rise, he didn’t start off as leader), Raphael, The Hothead in Red(If you’re not Rise), Donatello, the Tech Wizard in Purple, and Michelangelo, the Party Dude in Orange, who will be focusing on in this blog.

Like his brothers, he is a mutated turtle who was founded by their father pre mutation for all of them, but in some iterations, specifically the first three, Mikey was the same species of turtle like his bros, but Rise decided to make them all different species, Mikey being an ornate box turtle, but all four Mikey’s have one thing in common, being the youngest one.

Mikey is kind of a lazy, gluttonous, silly, kinda stupid, and hyper turtle compared to his older brothers, he also doesn’t really like to train that much, he usually spends his time playing video games, or reading comics(Unless you’re Rise, he just doesn’t like to train) but they are all kinda the same person, just a bit different in some ways, even though Mikey is much more different in Rise, he’s not a full blown idiot like he is in ‘87,’03, or even ‘12.

Being a teen, or even then, an early teenager, he has had a lot of adventures throughout all four iterations that will be used for this, he has gone on many adventures, and has fought against many, many different foes in his time, and has gotten many new friends also! And he kept going, being an amazing ninja at times, but mostly does slack off half the time.

*Note: I would go into the many, many, many, different people Mikey has fought in all four of the versions, but I don’t want to list all of them, but the notable ones are The Shredder, The Foot Clan, and the Krang*

Despite of his laziness, his gluttony, and his stupidness, Mikey has a great heart, and is one of the most pure members of the TMNT, and always makes sure that his family is doing great, and will always try his best to make sure he and his bros win, so better not mess with his turtle, or you’re getting a face full of nunchucks in your face!

 Joseph Joestar

“You may be 10,000 years old, but when it comes to the "art of deception", you need a little more time than that, Kars!”

Jonathan Joestar, the very first ever Joestar of all time, the most gentleman of all Joestar’s, the first ever user of Hamon in the Joestar family, and the one who start- Nah screw that! We don’t need to talk about Jonathan Joestar! We are here to learn about Joseph Motherfucking Joestar! The second Joestar, and the Second JoJo! Born from his mother, Lisa Lisa, whom married George Joestar 2nd, the son of Jonathan Joestar and Erina Joestar, well Erina also adopted Lisa Lisa, but gave her away, yeah, it was weird, anyways, JoJo(Joseph) was born September 27, 1920, fifty-two years later his Grandfather, JoJo(Jonathan), to the Joestar name, and the second one to get an anime adaptation, and the second story of JJBA(Not the light novel for George, it’s non canon to the main story.)

As mentioned JoJo(Joseph) was born on September 27, 1920, meaning he was fifty-two years after JoJo(Jonathan), and he was the second Joestar of course, and when we first got introduced to him, he was an eighteen year old, whose body type matched his Grandfather’s body, he had light eyes. He has short, dark, and unkempt hair, parts of his bangs shooting outwards in spikes, apart from which he closely resembles his grandfather Jonathan Joestar. And when we were introduced to him, his wallet was stolen from a young boy, named Smokey Brown, whom was soon caught by two corrupted cops of the 1930s, and Joseph being the sly fox he is, he told the cops that the wallet was a gift from him, but of course, the cops being corrupted the way they were, they ended up attacking Joseph, well tried, but JoJo(Joseph) had a super special power, named Ripple, or Hamon(will be touched up on later on in this blog) and he used them on the Cola bottles that he had, launching the cap at the cops, and soon rescued the small child from the corrupt cops.

After rescuing Smokey, he would soon go to a nice fancy restaurant will his Grandma, his Grandma Erina, and Smokey, but there was a racist there, whom, did not like that Smokey because you know, he wasn’t a white person, but little did that racist know, JoJo(Joseph) had a super secret ability(Not Hamon) that he is able to predict his opponents’ next line, and if they have FUCKING BRASS KNUCKLES in their FUCKING POCKETS, and while Joseph hates to work, and would rather be slacking off, and Joseph is a young, hotheaded, impetuous, and confrontational young man. Quick to violently respond to the slightest provocation, Joseph would often get into brawls growing up; prior to the events of the story, he had been imprisoned seven times and expelled once from school for fighting, but there was one thing that redeemed him from how he acts, he had  one redeeming trait is his devotion to his family and friends. Joseph cares deeply for his grandmother Erina Joestar, and is deeply angered when a gangster has the nerve of mentioning Speedwagon's death before her, which upset her. Joseph also cares for his "Uncle Speedwagon", who he considers like a father, and Speedwagon's disappearance pushed Joseph to go look for him in Mexico. Joseph also has a knack for befriending people. Despite having stolen his wallet, Joseph quickly befriended Smokey Brown and couldn't tolerate discrimination against him

After this, Joseph would be told from a gangster had the nerve of mentioning Speedwagon's death before her, which upset her, and deeply angered Joseph, but it turns out some Nazi’s took SPEEEDWAAAGOOONNN to Mexico to try awakening the Pillar Men, consisting of SantanaEsidisiWammu, and their leader, Kars. Although before this happened, Joseph had to fight some fodder, named Straizo, who was a helper to fight against DIO, and was the adoptive father of Lisa Lisa, and he told Speedwagon, and I quote “During the fight with Dio 50 years ago, I admit that I admired him... that power, that beauty, that immortality! I want the power of the Stone Mask for myself! Now that I've grown old, I want to become a being that surpasses all!”  So JoJo(Joseph) had to beat him up with Hamon, also shot him with a Tommy Gun, and used the super secret Joestar technique.

After defeating the mid villain of part two that is Straizo, he went off to Mexico to go save his uncle Speedwagon from Nazi’s and Pillar men. He did succeed in killing Santana, but then he had to fight against the three stronger Pillar Men, Kars, Wammu, and Esidisi. Soon, some time would pass, as Joseph would first defeat Esidisi, who cried like a bitch, then he defeated Wammu, who was a warrior to Joseph Joestar, then their leader, Kars, who was a monster to Joseph Joestar. Joseph ended up beating all the Pillar Men, with the help of his Sensei, Lisa Lisa, who’s his mom, and his ally/friend, Caesar Zeppeli, who sadly died to Wammu ,but then Joseph would be helped by a German named Stroheim, and was nursed back to health by Suzi Q, then they soon got married, and that would be the end of Joseph’s story…

UNTIL PART 3 CAME OUT!!!

Yeah, you thought Joseph’s story was actually over? Hell nah! He still got some things to talk about in part three, like how Hamon became fucking irrlevant, and Stands became the next new thing, but we’ll get to that later on.

See, after part two ended, Joseph would begin slacking on his Hamon training, causing him to become old with his wife(even though he was still fucking hot), Suzi Q, and he also had another kid, named Josuke Higashikata, who was the child of a woman named Tomoko Higashikata. Yeah, Joseph had cheated on Suzi with a Japanese woman, but to be fair, that was Araki’s idea, I don’t blame Joseph, but that doesn’t matter, this is part three, not part four(which isn’t being included in this blog, as he’s just a crippling old man)

BUT back to Joseph, he and his wife ended up having a child named Holy, who ended up getting married to a man named Sadao Kujo, then ended up having a son named Jotaro Kujo, the main protag of Stardust Crusaders, which was the part that introduced us to Stands.

Okay, so Joseph was sent to Japan to get his grandson out of prison for beating up people, and claimed he was possessed by an “evil spirit” when in reality, which was just his stand that had just manifested, due to him being a Joestar, and Joseph wasn’t able to get his grandson to come out of the cell, so he had his friend, Muhammad Avdol, to fight against his grandson to try getting him to understand this power wasn’t an evil spirit, but a Stand, a power that soon manifested in the Joestar bloodline

The short of it is, DIO was such a dick, he took Jonathan's body after his death and then stabbed himself (and his head) with a stand arrow, due to the jostars all being connected by a mystical star on their back the fate of the jostars and the brandos had been set into motion, and the Joestars were destined to fight, and Joseph the old timey idiot, and his grandson and other stand users had to go on a quest to fight DIO.

It was a long and hard fight to Egypt, where they had to fight many MANY stand users, eventually culminating with the confrontation of DIO, with Kakyoin, Joseph observed their fight, but before it could even start, Kakyoin had been gravely injured, a hole punched through his chest, thrown into a water tanker, Kakyoin layed, shooting one last emerald splash and the clock tower, seemingly stopping time.

Joseph understood this quickly and went into action, trying to get to his grandson, he told him, DIOs power is that of the world, his stand could stop time-... Joseph after getting that out was killed, a knife through the throat his soul energy left his body as he wished Jotaro the best, as DIO drained the jostar blood from Joseph, the fight began.

After DIOs death at the hands of Jotaro, the Speedwagon Foundation came to Joseph's aid, Jotaro came up with the idea to get DIOs blood and put it into Joseph, which somehow brought him back even though we saw his soul leave…?? It doesn’t matter, it just works, Joseph plays a joke on Jotaro before they leave back to Japan after burning DIOs body.

And that is the story of how Joseph Joestar is the best Joestar and a proud member of the Joestar Bloodline.

Then PART 4!!

Jk, we're not including that one, it's less about Joseph and more about his son Josuke, while yes, Joseph is included, he's just a frail old fragile old man.

Experience

Michelangelo

Despite being a teenager, who’s a mutant ninja turtle, he’s quite experienced in many things, mainly things like ninjutsu and martial arts, and other ninja related things, like Chi Gong, which allows him to control his breathing and his heart rate, Okinawan Kobudō (nunchaku) which his dad, Splinter teached him, and he’s pretty good at it too, even though he can be a mess up with them sometimes. Being a ninja has its perks, you may say “But Mira! Mikey is a giant turtle, he’ll stick out like a sore thumb.” You're not just wrong, you're stupid. Mikey is a master of ninjutsu, meaning he can be super stealthy when he wants to, popping up from anywhere and everywhere, and he can also use his own tricks to overwhelm his opponents.

He also has the most raw talent when it comes to his skillsets which causes him to be incredibly cocky. Mikey believes he shouldn't have to practice his ninjutsu skills as often as his brothers do and prefers to spend his time reading comics or watching tv. He also can be very cocky and doesn't take his accomplishments with humility. In the Season 2 finale "The Big Brawl", he became the Battle Nexus Champion, the best fighter in the multiverse. However, when fighting in the Tournament, he only actually won one fight properly. Since that battle, Mikey rubs it in his brothers’ faces.

During season 5, being the Ninja Tribunal, Michelangelo became one of the Ninja Tribunal's Acolytes along with his brothers. It should be noted that although Michelangelo tends to goof off, his spiritual avatar is that of a dragon along with his brothers as seen in the episode New World Order, Part 2. It was seen that he was advanced when it came to the stealth training with Hisomi-shisho (More Worlds Than One.) He also had gained a new weapon and a cool medallion, which will be touched on!

In this series, Michelangelo, along with his brothers, traveled into the year 2105 and met the great-grandson of April and Casey, Cody Jones. Mikey continued his video gaming in the future, completely awestruck by the new video games, especially since most of the games were virtual reality pieces. When the Turtles and Master Splinter reached the future, they were provided with tech-upgraded weapons, courtesy of O'Neil Tech (which Cody owns). Michelangelo first chose a giant power armor suit, which kept Mikey happy for five seconds before he found out that it was too cumbersome for him to operate; so he returned to his (though upgraded) nunchaku standards.

Overall, Michelangelo continued being the obnoxiously annoying little brother. He kept his addiction for video games and it even increased and he became even more obsessed with them, which proved to be a hazard during Graduation Day: Class of 2105 which almost got him to not graduate as he missed a month's worth of training just for playing video games. He made up for it, however, when he passed the three tests to graduate and got back his nunchaku: Invisibility (where the first handlebar was guarded by Leonardo), Strength (where the second handle bar was guarded by Raphael), and Insight (where the chain was guarded by Donatello). He also passed the hidden test of humility after admitting that he did not deserve to graduate just because he passed three tests after missing so much training.

Joseph Joestar

In Part 2 of JoJo’s, Joseph admits that he didn’t really know what Hamon was, only using it a few times to get him out of sticky situations, but he was a born natural with Hamon, without any proper training, even then, before his training with Lisa Lisa, he used Hamon to pop the cap off of a cola bottle at a corrupt police officer and two tequila bottles' corks against a pair of Nazi soldiershe used a Tommy gun to shoot Straizo and then strike him with the stock charged with the Ripple, and was able to insert it into a cactus against Donovan, not only that but Joseph is a master at tricking people, he purposefully makes himself look like an ass to the point that people begin to underestimate him, with his level of perception though its almost impossible to trick this Joestar, hes noticed small details about a guys coat and even smaller details to the point that he figured out how a guy fought exactly, down to the point of understanding how to dodge and react to his attacks, all of this culminates in a fight with the Pillar Men, where Joseph makes them look like fools with his quick thinking and slightly idiotic additude.

All of this then soon accumulated to Joseph being able to beat the Pillar Men, who have been around for thousands of years. That’s saying a lot as they were able to get outsmarted by a wee Bri’ish buff man who is a goofball. As mentioned before, Joseph can easily outsmart his opponents, and even has a keen sense of perception, being able to figure out how someone fights, or even that they have brass knuckles in their pockets. It doesn’t matter how smart you are, or how old you are, if you get into a fight with Joseph Joestar, you’re screwed because this man will detect your next line, and soon you’ll be outsmarted and beaten up with the power of Hamon…

UNTIL PART 3!!!

Yeah, Joseph’s story doesn’t end there, as you obviously know. See, he got older, and he slacked off his Hamon training, only to grow older with his wife, Suzi Q, but instead of having stronger Hamon, he ended up obtaining a stand, called Hermit Purple. Even though we don’t EXACTLY know when he got it, it could be during his time after beating the Pillar Men, or even when DIO got stabbed by the Stand Arrow, but even if we couldn’t figure it out, Joseph was super proficient with the stand he gained.

Joseph was able to figure out that his stand can make photos, by slamming his hand into the Polaroid camera, and to print out a photo of DIO. Joseph was able to use Hermit Purple to connect to electronics. Joseph can then check the electronics for tampering, or even control them (such as, he uses Hermit Purple on a TV, and can use it to change channels).

Throughout his journey of Stardust Crusaders,(or Part 3 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures) Joseph was able to even use Hamon, you know, the power that was basically discarded from the series(even though it was awesome and I feel like it should have been included still) Joseph was able to use Hamon against his enemies to be able to stop the vampires from hurting him, and he even used it against DIO, who is weak against it, but with a limited defense against DIO as he got an upgrade too. Even then, during this, Joseph also manages to exploit the vine-like nature of his Stand to its fullest, using it as a controllable rope to swing from place to place or tie enemies up.

Equipment

(Okay, before we continue, since we are composting Mikey, he will get all the weapons he has from the four shows we are using for this version)

Michelangelo(2003)

Nunchucks

The nunchaku (katakana: ヌンチャク) is a weapon that consists of two sticks connected at their ends by a short chain or a length of rope. The word itself comes from nun (katakana: ヌン), meaning "twin" and shaku (kanji: 尺), the approximate length of each arm of the nunchaku. It is also called the dual section stick, chuka sticks, nunchucks, or karate sticks. Nunchaku were originally an ancient farming tool used to thrash grain before being weaponized. Nunchaku are used to lock joints and disarm weapons. In Japanese, a wielder of nunchaku is called nunchakuka (Japanese: ヌンチャク家, "nunchaku expert").

The nunchaku is Michelangelo's signature weapon in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise in almost every series, although a few characters throughout the franchise have been seen wielding them as well. Popular culture has shown nunchaku as a striking flail, which is how the weapon is often portrayed in TMNT media.

Cyber Nunchucks

A pair of nunchucks that Mikey had gotten from the future in the sixth season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle(2003.) It’s obvious that Mikey doesn’t have access to them in the last season of the show, so Mikey won’t have them in this fight, but they are super cool to talk about.

Shurikens

A shuriken (kanji: 手裏剣, "hand-hidden blade") is a traditional Japanese concealed weapon that was generally used for throwing, and sometimes stabbing or slashing. Shuriken are sharpened hand-held blades made from a variety of everyday items, such as needles, nails, and knives, as well as coins, washers, and other flat plates of metal. "Shuriken" is the name given to any small-bladed object, while "shaken" is traditionally used to indicate the well-known name "throwing star".

Shuriken are often called "throwing stars" or "ninja stars" in the Western world, though they took many different shapes and designs during the time they were used. The major varieties of shuriken are the "bō shuriken" (kanji: 棒手裏剣, "stick shuriken"), the "hira shuriken" (kanji: 平手裏剣, "flat shuriken"), and the "shaken"/"kurumaken" (kanji: 車剣, "wheel shuriken").

Shuriken were often used as distraction and misdirection tools and were mainly a supplemental weapon to the more-commonly-used sword or other various weapons in a samurai's arsenal, though they often played a pivotal tactical role in battle. The Japanese martial art of wielding shuriken is called shurikenjutsu (kanji: 手裏剣術, "shuriken technique").

Like any other good ninja, Mikey has different weapons, not just his nunchucks, he also has shurikens, which he can throw to attack his opponents. He’s used these on many occasions, like a good ninja. He’s also used an exploding variation during “The Journal” to save his hero friend, then he even used an explosive shuriken against the Cyber Shredder in the Back to the Sewer episode "City Under Siege.”

Bow And Arrow

For more range Mikey’s got himself a bow and arrow. He’s pretty skilled with it too, hitting over 20 apples off Donatello's head one after another before hitting one right out of his hand.

Amulet of the Acolytes

The Amulet of the Acolytes is a mystical medallion that aids acolytes of the Ninja Tribunal to focus and amplify their inner power. It allows them to channel their chi until they learn to do so on their own. The Turtles and their fellow acolytes receive these Amulets during the episode Lap of the Gods. Kon-Shisho explains the Amulets to them, though Raphael sees them as "dog collars". The amulets are destroyed following the defeat of The Tengu Shredder.

Abilities from the Amulet

• Speed Boost/Ninja Speed - By harnessing his Amulet to imagine himself as invisible and silent, Michelangelo canceled out the sound of his footsteps. The Ancient One also encouraged him to see the world as only light and energy (Season 5 Episode 3: 6:59). He later referred to this as Ninja Speed, and used it to travel rapidly to another location unseen and unheard (Season 5 Episode 3: 15:07). He used this again based on stealth and movement to move incredibly fast and catch up to their teacher (Season 5 Episode 5: 15:18). Used to save Karai (Season 5 Episode 9: 7:02).

• Underwater Breathing - Appeared to be drowning before he used his powers, but was fine when he did (Season 5 Episode 3: 17:53)

Inazuma

Inazuma (稲妻, lightning) is a mystical three-section staff (三節棍, sansetsukon) from the 2003 TMNT animated series. It is introduced during the Lost Episodes as a weapon with the ability to "command lightning from the heavens." It is able to extend beyond its normal reach and lash out at very high speeds like a whip, living up to its "lightning" moniker. Inazuma is one of the Fangs of the Dragon, and the weapon was claimed by Michelangelo from the Spirit Forge. It is unknown what happened to Inazuma after the Shredder's defeat.

Abilities from the Inazuma

• Cyclone/Electricity Generation - Formed a mini cyclone in his attack and struck with electricity powering his blows thanks to the Inazuma (Season 5 Episode 5: 18:27)

• Energy Blasts - Launched several Homing ones with kicks from his Inazuma (Season 5 Episode 6: 14:32). Shot more (Season 5 Episode 6: 2:44). All turtles blasted at Shredder and were knocked back by him (Season 5 Episode 9: 15:30). Wrecked both with these (Season 5 Episode 11: 15:50). Did so against herald (Season 5 Episode 12: 14:47)

Turtle Titan Suit

A hero suit Mikey created himself due to his love for superheroes  Although he has no superpowers and gadgets, he still proves himself quite effective in his own way and even befriends other superheroes, such as the Silver Sentry and the Justice Force. As Turtle Titan, Michelangelo uses grappling hooks as both a weapon and a mode of transportation, and a small shield used for protection and as a throwing weapon.

Michelangelo (1987)

Grappling Hook

The Turtles had their own custom made grappling hooks called Turtle Line shaped like turtles' shells. While all of them used these grappling hooks, Michelangelo used them the most frequently.

Manriki Gusari

Kusari-fundo (鎖分銅) is a handheld weapon used in feudal Japan consisting of a length of chain (kusari) with a weight (fundo) attached to each end of the chain. Mikey can use it as a projectile and a way of tying opponents up. Not much beyond that.

Cheapskates

Invented by Donatello, these are useful skateboards given to all the turtles including Mikey. It’s a simple transportation method Mikey has that he can combine with his sick skateboarding skills.

Suction Cups

Turtle themed Suction Cups Mikey has that he uses to climb up buildings. Pretty handy.

Pizza

What would Mikey be if he was short on Pizza? Probably dead considering this appears to be his entire diet. Mikey carries around full Pizzas all the time, which he usually uses as projectiles to blind foes with. To make this embarrassing attack worse, the flavours are usually pretty disgusting, including such delicious toppings like butter scotch and onions with anchovies, chocolate sprinkles and clam sauce, tuna, peanut butter, and grape jelly, and even tea and toast, all making for a nasty after taste.

Disguises

Simple trench coats and hats that allows Mikey to somehow hide in plain sight as if he was a normal person and not a tall, mutated, talking turtle. Successfully outdoing Clark Kent's glasses as the stupidest way of hiding your identity in history.

Michelangelo 2012

Kusarigama

The kusarigama is a traditional Japanese weapon consisting of a sickle at the end of a kusari-fundo chain weapon. This is the weapon Michelangelo's nunchucks transform into in the 2012 TV series. It has a blade that springs out of one end of the handle, and the chain extends to serve as the kusari-fundo portion of the weapon. The nunchaku are one of the weapons to get an upgrade (the other being the bō staff).

Kama

A kama (鎌) is a traditional Okinawan sickle. Like most weapons of Okinawan origin, it began as a farming tool, used to cut down crops. It may be wielded singularly or in pairs, with the latter being more common, and the Japanese martial art associated with them is called kamajutsu.

A pair of kama are forged by Michelangelo during the Vision Quest storyline and function as his chief weapons in this period.

Smoke bomb

These smoke bombs were an invention of Donatello’s. They were made from literal eggshells and filled with flash powder. When the user of these smoke bombs throws one down - it will produce a smoke that conceals their movements and as such - allows them to make a quick getaway. The smoke combined with their ninjutsu abilities makes it almost appear as if they were actually teleporting, as the Turtles can disappear and travel impressive distances without being spotted in an instant. They can also be used to temporarily blind an opponent.

Spacesuit

The Astro-Suit (Michelangelo) is an astronomical suit worn by Michelangelo. As a suit built by Fugitoid, Michelangelo uses it in order to survive in outer space during his space mission with Fugitoid of stopping the Triceratons from retrieving the Heart of Darkness pieces. Astro-Suit (Michelangelo) debuts in Beyond The Known Universe.

Although since Mikey only used this for a while, he won’t be getting this, including the weapons that come along with the suit.

Laser Tonfas

Laser Tonfas are weapons of Michelangelo. These are technological tonfas created by Fugitoid for him and his space suit. Laser Tonfas debuts in Beyond The Known Universe.

As stated before, since Mikey isn’t in space, he won’t be getting his space tonfa

Laser Blaster

Laser Blaster (Michelangelo) is a weapon of Michelangelo. This is a blaster that was invented by Fugitoid for Michelangelo, which shoots some type of orange laser ammunition.

As stated for the other two space weapons, this won’t be included since they aren’t in space.

Rise Michelangelo

Mystic Kusari-Fundō

In Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Michelangelo steals a mystic kusari-fundō from Baron Draxum's laboratory in "Mystic Mayhem". It is mystic with a weight rejection and a fire generation ability. Mikey's kusari-fundō is destroyed by the Shredder in "Shreddy or Not", its chain snapped by him after Mikey wrapped his body in it. Mikey replaced it with nunchaku in "Finale Part 4: Rise". The abilities are Fire Generation: with a laughing weight and a chain that can extend nigh-infinitely. With its extensive reach, he can burn, grapple, and cut opponents/objects, Weight Rejection: Anything within his kusari-fundō’s grip instantly becomes weightless, allowing Mikey to manipulate opponents/objects of a normally colossal weight with ease, Power Fun Jutsu: By spiraling his kusari-fundō’s chain, Mikey can generate a funnel of flame capable of engulfing opponents or transporting a large number of objects from one place to another, Mystic Whip Grip: The spiked weight of his kusari-fundō is capable of latching onto surfaces to anchor Mikey to them.

Mystic Nunchucks

A wire saw forged by his friend, Todd Capybara, turned into a pair of nunchaku with the Hamato Ninpo. Like Mikey’s Mystic Kusari-Fundō, he has the ability to grapple onto things, pulling them, but this has a special bonus. fire generation and gateway generation, which will be touched onto later in the blog.

Joseph Joestar

American Clackers/Clacker Balls

After pressing himself to come up with his own special attack, Joseph invented a fighting style that involved infusing the Ripple into a pair of normal American clackers. Once infused, the clackers become a lethal weapon, as the user is able to rip through an opponent's skin using them, and from there the Ripple can enter the body, thus inflicting massive damage. Because of their shape and aerodynamic design, someone who is trained in the clackers' use is able to easily maneuver them around their body, even having the ability to make them seemingly disappear by hiding them behind their back. The clackers would end up being unusable after Wired Beck sliced the strings that were connected to both clackers.

Tommy Gun

A Thompson submachine gun, based on the M1928 model. Joseph Joestar was carrying it with him after he heard about the "death" of Robert E. O. Speedwagon, and used it to surprise Straizo as soon as the vampire revealed himself to Joseph.

Tequila Joseph Outfit(Yes, this is being included, shut up)

An outfit worn by Joseph to disguise himself as a woman against two nazi guards, so he could rescue Speedwagon from the nazis. We don’t why he has this, or where this guy got it from, but he clearly didn’t trick those two guards, but still, he looks damn good(wait, i didn’t put the parenthesis)

Ripple Breathing Mask

A metal mask specially designed to train people to breathe in order to produce the Ripple. It is strapped to the user's head, covering both the nose and mouth and cannot be removed without outside help. If the wearer breathes as if he produced the Ripple, he will be able to have air, but if he breathes incorrectly, he'll suffocate. It is undeniably cruel but effective as a training tool. Lisa Lisa uses it to train Joseph to prepare him against the Pillar Men.

Molotov Cocktail

A molotov cocktail Joseph Joestar had on him during his fight against Wamuu. It proved to be a crucial instrument of Joseph's victory. When Wamuu used his ultimate technique, Joseph threw the bottle of oil at Wamuu, who cut it in half. Still, his body sucked in the oil and Joseph then threw the burning bandana of Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli at the Pillar Man, which resulted in a dramatic explosion that destroyed Wamuu's body.

Grenades

Pretty obvious, these are hand grenades that Joseph used against Straizo to explode him, and he was able to pull the pins with string from a scarf.

Powers and Abilities

Ninjutsu

Taught to the TMNT since childhood by Master Splinter, ninjutsu is not strictly a fighting style or martial art, but the use of specialized military tactics with uses for espionage and guerilla warfare. The origins of ninjutsu date back to the early days of Japan, where shinobi or ninja served as spies for feudal lords. These warriors employed stealth and deception to carry out different missions, including information gathering, infiltrating rival territories and assassinating high-value targets.  Currently, the Bujinkan - a martial arts organization based in Japan - have dug up records from the Togakure-ryu school of ninjutsu which detail the essential skills every practitioner must learn, regardless of their mode of instruction. These became known as the Ninja Jūhakkei - the Eighteen Disciplines:

  • Seishinteki Kyoyo (spiritual refinement): A form of spiritual education. Before and even after mastering the other aspects of ninjutsu, practitioners must mentally, spiritually and emotionally prepare themselves for their duties as shinobi through meditation. The recommended points for reflection including knowing one’s self, nature, destiny, harmony, sight, the heart and love.

  • Ninpo Taijutsu (unarmed combat): Taijutsu is the common term to refer to any form of unarmed combat. Here, users not only learn mastery of striking and grappling techniques, but other modes of combat like mutou dori (fighting armed opponents without a weapon), koppojutsu (bone breaking), taihenjutsu (environmental movement based on spatial awareness) and senkojutsu (infiltration techniques). Some techniques here overlap with those taught in traditional Japanese martial arts like karate and judo.

  • Kenjutsu (sword techniques): An umbrella term to refer to training with most bladed weapons, such as katana, nodachi and kunai. There is also a distinction made between schools which teach dual-wielding (nitoryu) and single weapon (ittou-ryu) skills.

  • Sojutsu (spear techniques): Training in the use of spears, or yari.

  • Naginatajutsu (glaive techniques): Mastery of the naginata, a polearm. These are more known for being close combat weapons as opposed to spears, which keep opponents in mid-range.

  • Bojutsu (staff techniques): Training in the use of the staff and sticks. Besides attacks, practitioners learn to complement weapon use with hand-to-hand strikes and using the staff as a tool for movement.

  • Kayakujutsu (explosion techniques): This branch deals with the use of firearms and explosions.

  • Kusarigamajutsu (chain-sickle techniques): Deals with using a kusarigama, a weapon consisting of a sickle connected to a chain with a heavy weight on its end. Wielders of this often attack by using the chain and weight to immobilize an opponent or disarm them of their weapons, giving them an opportunity to strike with the sickle. They can also spin the sickle around to extend the range of their attack.

  • Shurikenjutsu (throwing weapons techniques): A general term referring to the use of any type of throwing weapon, like bo shuriken (spikes), hira shuriken (throwing stars) and tanto knives.

  • Hensojutsu (disguise techniques): Ninja were expected to blend in with the environment and impersonate locals with the use of costumes and proper acting, all through studying the area and planning accordingly.

  • Shinobi-iri (silent infiltration): Ninja were also expected to infiltrate any location without being detected, and this discipline covered all the skills needed to make such missions successful. These included causing distractions, taking note of weaknesses within the physical location or guard patrols, reducing sources of sound and light, and if need be, eliminating obstacles by any means necessary.

  • Bajutsu (mounted combat): This governs the use of horses as a means of escape or combat, depending on the situation. If the time calls for a fight, the practitioner must learn how to apply whatever combat training they have to protect themselves and their mount.

  • Sui-ren (water techniques): To cross water efficiently while maintaining cover, ninja employed ways to move across it quietly and submerge themselves in it if needed for long periods of time.

  • Boryaku (strategy and tactics): Aside from employing conventional strategies when the situation calls for it, boryaku deals with formulating more unorthodox means to win battles by exploiting psychological, emotional and political weaknesses to deceive and manipulate the enemy into an outcome favorable to the ninja.

  • Choho (espionage): This particular discipline was about using one’s mind to gather information and using it to further their goals.

  • Intonjutsu (escape techniques): In the event a ninja was discovered, he or she was required to disappear as silently and quickly as possible, using elements from the other disciplines to make their escape.

  • Tenmon (meteorology): Ninja were expected to take advantage of the local weather and adapt to the changes within it to exploit possible weaknesses.

  • Chimon (geography): By using the terrain of the area, ninja could employ different types of strategies and movements in accordance with battle conditions.

Stealth

Pretty self-explanatory on what stealth is. Basically it helps the turtles be proper ninjas, causing them to vanish in the darkest places, and can help Mikey surprise attack his foes(Even though Mikey can screw up being stealthy most of the time.)

Skateboarding

Michelangelo is incredibly skilled at skateboarding and can perform all kinds of tricks. His skateboard can be used to maneuver around enemies during battle. It can also be used to maneuver around in his environment. It can also be used as a makeshift bludgeoning weapon or projectile if needed. Though if he's not careful, he can fall/be knocked off.

Chi Gong Technique

“Internal breathing”. Michelangelo can use this technique to slow his breathing and heart rate to survive extreme conditions for extended periods of time, such as a lack of atmosphere, though this does require some form of meditation and concentrated focus.

Michelangelo(2012)

Fighting while Dancing

Pretty self-explanatory too. In an episode about Donnie having problems with his bo staff, due to it being a huge stick, he wanted to make more tech to help him with fighting, but Splinter told him that it doesn’t really matter, he can still fight without thinking. With Mikey being an example, he was able to block and dodge hits from Splinter, while listening to music and not even seeing Splinter, of course he got cocky, but still, for a guy who slacks off all the time, he fights amazingly.

Breakdancing

Another self-explanatory thing. Mikey is a master breakdancer. He is so good that he is able to breakdance and fight at the same time, which helps him with his nunchucking abilities.

Pranking

ANOTHER self-explanatory thing. Mikey is a master in pranking. He can trick his opponents in any way, by throwing water balloons at them to distract them. That’s really all it is.

Teasing

As a grand prankster, Mikey is great at teasing his opponents. While others may not see this as a skill, his teasing has shown to be skilled enough to make his opponents lose control of themselves and attack senselessly, making their attacks become sloppy and ineffective, which makes it easier for him to take them down.

Michelangelo(Rise)

Fire Generation(Via Mystic Kusari-Fundō/Mystic Nunchucks)

Mikey wields a mystic fire-generating kusari-fundō with a laughing weight and a chain that can extend nigh-infinitely. With its extensive reach, he can burn, grapple, and cut opponents/objects.

Weight Rejection(Via Mystic Kusari-Fundō/Mystic Nunchucks)

Anything within his kusari-fundō’s/Mystic Nunchucks grip instantly becomes weightless, allowing Mikey to manipulate opponents/objects of a normally colossal weight with ease.

Power Fun Jutsu(Via Mystic Kusari-Fundō)

By spiraling his kusari-fundō’s chain, Mikey can generate a funnel of flame capable of engulfing opponents or transporting a large number of objects from one place to another.

Mystic Whip Grip(Via Mystic Kusari-Fundō/Mystic Nunchucks)

The spiked weight of his kusari-fundō is capable of latching onto surfaces to anchor Mikey to them.(Even though this is with his nunchucks at the end)

Gateway Opening(Via Hamato Ninpo)

Mikey discovered this new power in Rise of the TMNT: The Movie. This enables him to rip open a gateway anywhere in space and time. But it's very dangerous to use as it nearly took his own life in the process.

In the beginning of the Rise Of The TMNT Movie, Old Turtle Mikey was shown to be able to use a gateway portal to teleport Casey Jones Jr to the past, due to Old Turtle Leo telling him to save the past from the Kraang. After Old Turtle Mikey did this, he ended up breaking apart and died. Throughout the entire film, Present Mikey would constantly try his best to make a portal, but kept failing, until Leo sacrificed himself to save his brothers, that’s what caused Mikey to finally unlock his gateway portals, but he didn’t know that it could cost his life, but then Raph and Donnie decided to help Mikey, saving his life, and Leo’s in the process.

Joseph Joestar

Hamon/Ripple

The Ripple (波紋, Hamon), is an energy used in an ancient form of martial arts known as Sendo (仙道, Sendō, lit. "Way of The Hermit").

Through self-controlled respiration, a person trained in the Ripple technique can produce an energy identical to the energy of the sun, which manifests as ripples throughout their body. This energy can be used in a wide range of techniques, and is fatal to Vampires, Zombies and the Pillar Men.

Ripple is the main source of power for the heroes of Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency. It is also briefly featured in Stardust Crusaders.

The Ripple is an energy identical to the Sun's rays. The human body can create this energy through controlled breathing, producing ripples of energy propagating from the bloodstream to the rest of the body and to other objects in contact with it. The Ripple manifests itself as electricity-like sparks, and it can be seen by ordinary humans.

An object charged with Ripple energy will have one or several attributes enhanced by the energy, making it a more effective tool or weapon. Liquids such as water or oil conduct the Ripple especially well, with the ripples becoming visible in the liquid. However, while all materials can conduct the Ripple to some degree, only living organisms such as roses can retain Ripple energy. Joseph Joestar is shown to be able to channel the Ripple through his Stand, Hermit Purple; it is unknown if other types of Stands can do the same.

Though anyone can technically produce small amounts of Ripple energy, Will Anthonio Zeppeli explains that only one in ten thousand has the ability to be a Ripple user in practice. Only a few people have the willpower and therefore the discipline to control their breathing, notably those who have lived through great tragedies and kept their fortitude.  However, the ability to use the Ripple is also a talent granted to people whose ancestors were Ripple users, and thus Joseph Joestar had a natural affinity for the Ripple without being proficient in using it.

Joseph inherited the Ripple and its capabilities from his grandfather, Jonathan Joestar, as well as his mother, Lisa Lisa. In addition, he uses techniques commonly present in stage magic to confuse his foes. After his Ripple training, Joseph frequently combines his Ripple with other objects to perform complex and creative attacks. Later in Stardust Crusaders, he shows that he is able to use the Ripple in conjunction with his Stand, Hermit Purple. However, as he grew older, due to neglecting his Ripple training, he became unable to do the same things he was capable of when he was younger and ended up aging at a relatively normal pace.

Hamon Related Moves

Overdrive / Ripple Overdrive

The most basic application of the Ripple, where the user attacks with either their limbs or an object imbued with the Ripple. Joseph first uses it on a bottle of coke, causing the cap to fly off and break the finger bone of a police officer. He mostly uses it by charging his hand with Ripple and striking with a chop. Joseph uses it against Kars in a duel and shatters Kars's Light Blade which could cut through anything without fail up until that point.

Ripple Hypnosis

When he's young, Joseph uses the Ripple on a pilot's head while Speedwagon's plane is being hijacked, which knocks the pilot out. He later uses this technique on a pigeon, controlling it to go inside the mouth of a woman that Caesar hypnotized. In his final battle against Wamuu, he controls the Vampire Horses by using the Ripple on their reins.

Ripple Hair Attack

Joseph infuses his Ripple into strands of hair to make them hard enough to form a barrier, which blocks incoming projectiles. Joseph uses it to block bullets fired by Santana after ripping a fistful of Stroheim's hair.

Ripple Beat

An advanced adhesive technique, Joseph imbues both his fists and feet with the Ripple. To prevent himself from falling down a pillar covered with oil, he flips himself upwards and uses his hands to stick to the blast of oil. He then slides across and propels himself upwards, gaining more distance than he could from normally climbing or jumping.

Ripple Beat Overdrive

Joseph traps the opponent with ropes made of 100% wool, then imbues the ropes with the Ripple. It has enough force to slice through Esidisi's face.

Rebuff Overdrive

Joseph charges Ripple into his elbows and delivers a powerful strike. This was used during Joseph's fight with Wamuu to retaliate his falling attack.

Zoom Punch

Similar to his grandfather's move, Joseph uses the Ripple to dislocate his shoulder and arm to strike opponents at a longer range.

Clacker Volley

Joseph chucks clackers infused with the Ripple into his opponent's direction. This can be done a number of ways, but to produce the best and most surprising effect, he can hide them behind his back. From there, Joseph can slingshot them from behind his back at the enemy in all directions.

Clacker Boomerang

Joseph throws both pairs of clackers infused with the Ripple into a beam or pillar behind the opponent, fooling the foe into assuming that he missed. One gets stuck onto whatever it was thrown on and starts spinning, latching onto the second pair of clackers. The second pair then flings back towards the opponent from behind, much like how a boomerang works.

Stand

A Stand (スタンド, Sutando) is a physical manifestation of a person's "life energy". It is a power unique to the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series.

A Stand is an entity psychically generated by its owner, referred to as a Stand user (スタンド使い, Sutando tsukai). It generally presents itself as an ethereal figure hovering over or near the user and possesses abilities beyond that of an ordinary human, which, depending on the Stand user, can be wielded for good or evil.

Stands are defined as personifications of "life energy" (生命エネルギー, Seimei enerugī) whose abilities are given visual form. When first presented, the term is written as 幽波紋スタンド,[4] with furigana added to change the pronunciation of what literally means "ghostly Ripple" (幽波紋, Yūhamon) in kanji. According to Joseph Joestar, the name "Stand" comes from the fact that the vast majority of Stands usually manifest themselves standing next to the user, ready to act on their command. The term 立ち向かうものスタンド has also been used by Mountain Tim to describe Stands, which translates literally to "that which stands and confronts" (立ち向かうもの, Tachimukau Mono).

To an extent, a Stand embodies the individual's psyche, usually as the representation of their user's "fighting spirit". However, the will required to manifest a Stand doesn't need to be confrontational, deriving from any exploration of the mind's possibilities, be it mastery of a craft, strong desire or even personal crises. Beyond that definition, Stands present themselves in a large variety of forms and with different behaviors, if they are sentient at all. They follow a loose set of rules, with no definite standard by which one can fully classify them. As an embodiment of someone's psyche, Stands are therefore as varied as human minds can be.

Hermit Purple

Now, Hermit Purple is Old Joseph’s stand later on, but Araki, the creator did confirm that if the Stardust Crusaders went back in time, Young Joseph would have Hermit Purple,*See BTV* but let’s discuss this bizarre stand

Joseph's Stand, Hermit Purple, manifests itself as a tangle of thorny vines, which Joseph can wield as both a weapon and a hazardous defense. Furthermore, it has been shown to conduct the Ripple, which makes Hermit Purple one of the more effective Stands against those weak to it such as vampires. Joseph develops the Stand after DIO pierces Jonathan's body with the Arrow, upon which it responded to DIO and Enya awakening The World.

One of its special abilities is to use cameras, televisions and other things to perform a form of fortune telling referred to as spirit photography. When introduced, it was demonstrated that he had to smash an expensive Polaroid camera to do this, and the camera would dispense a picture of DIO. Later on he is seen using televisions for this ability without having to damage them.

Hermit Purple is also shown as being able to connect to electronics. Joseph can then check the electronics for tampering, or even control them (such as, he uses Hermit Purple on a TV, and can use it to change channels).

The Hermit card of the Tarot primarily gives a meaning of solitude, introspective, or soul-searching, which could symbolize Joseph's lifelong journey. It also carries a more direct meaning of teaching or advising, which is Joseph's main role in Part 3 on the subject of Stands.

Mastery

Joseph is quite adept at using his Stand, although he does so imperfectly. Joseph notably understands how versatile Hermit Purple's ability is and that it can be used on cameras, TV sets, and even dust to divine information. However during Stardust Crusaders, Joseph brutally breaks cameras to obtain spirit photographs whereas it is demonstrated that a simple tap will grant the same results.

Joseph also manages to exploit the vine-like nature of his Stand to its fullest, using it as a controllable rope to swing from place to place or tie enemies up. By combining it with the Ripple, Joseph also made Hermit Purple an effective but limited defense against DIO.

Familial Bond

As a part of the Joestar Family, Joseph bears the Star Birthmark and a connection to the supernatural. According to Avdol, the bond shared between DIO and the Joestar family has awakened their spiritual power. In Joseph's case, he developed Hermit Purple, and is capable of sensing DIO's presence.

Acrobatics

Joseph is an exceptionally agile fighter, performing acrobatics on a regular basis.

Being quite athletic, Joseph distinguishes himself through feats of agility, in contrast to his grandfather Jonathan Joestar who performed feats of strength. He can for instance perform an aerial cartwheel when Esidisi grips his fist to escape the lock (all the while setting up a string to slice his arm), has performed impressive jumps, for instance pole vaulting into Wamuu's chariot to escape being crushed or a somersault while sliding underneath a layer of oil, and has managed to perform corde lisse tricks against Kars.

As he aged, Joseph's skills in that regard became less relevant, although he was still in shape and could still swing across rooftops with Hermit Purple.

Wit and Trickery

Joseph Joestar's mind is his deadliest and most valuable asset.

Joseph's favorite strategy is to psych out his opponents. To do so, he notably predicts what his enemies will say next or more commonly provokes them to unnerve them and make them predictable in their next move. Joseph is incredibly proficient in analyzing the personalities of those he faces and guessing information about them by observing small details about them, then shamelessly exploits any character flaw they have in order to return whatever they will be doing next against them, most commonly their overconfidence. Of note are particular quirks such as Wamuu's pride as a warrior or Kars's obsession for the Red Stone of Aja. However, Joseph is unknowingly as susceptible to these tactics as his opponents, leading him to be psyched out himself by Esidisi.

Having great prestidigitation skills, his goofy demeanor serving as the greatest distraction and facade he can rely on, Joseph is able to attack from unexpected angles or make critical moves under the guise of simple stupidity or ignorance; Joseph will often use one obvious strategy hiding another, more advanced one to fool and trap his opponents.

Joseph is maybe the most proficient man in the series at using his environment to his advantage, the Ripple increasing the danger and combative capability of any item he gets his hands on. Among others, Joseph has used mirrors, glass shots, hair, a well, pasta, pigeons, wool hats, icicles, pebbles, and an entire plane as tools and weapons to grasp the upper hand, each use having had applied efficiency and imagination. Joseph also keeps a number of tools handy just in case, concealing weapons on his person for when he expects danger.

When cornered, Joseph can still rely on his particularly quick wits to come up with a viable solution in an near-instant. The most successful instance being Joseph using the Red Stone of Aja to amplify Ultimate Kars's Ripple Attack so as to cause a volcanic eruption and send him into space.

Joseph's tendency to use so many tricks stems from his particular mindset. He considers that in combat, every move is fair-play with the exception of involving civilians and being needlessly cruel. Thus he isn't bound by any code and doesn't hesitate to flee, or cheat if the ends justify the means, as seen against the D'Arby brothers.

Near-Death Survival Technique: After he lit his scarf on fire, Joseph told Kars that he was putting his life in danger so he would be pushed beyond his own limits to find a new technique before the flame reached him. This was actually part of a plan to trick Kars, who would be too distracted to notice Joseph's plan to save Lisa Lisa.

Secret Technique(his best)

The Joestar family's "secret technique". Usually utilized as a last resort, Joseph invented this move to use when battling the enemy seemed hopeless. It was also used by his grandson Jotaro later in the series during his fight against Rubber Soul.

The secret technique consists of carefully and quickly retreating from the opponent, while keeping a close eye on surroundings for things to use to defeat or assist in defeating them. To the untrained eye, it looks like Joseph is simply running away like a coward, augmented by his panicked shouting when doing so, but in reality it was actually used to stall time in order for Joseph to formulate a plan. He will also use this technique to try to lure an enemy away from others.

Forms

(really the only forms are from the mystic versions of the turtles)

Michelangelo(2003)

Chi-Empowered

With the power of The Amulet of the Acolytes, Mikey is allowed to tap into his inner chi, giving him a orange glow inside of his body, which is oddly visible, but he can use a technique that Hisomi-Shisho, a member of the Ninja Tribunal, and the Master Of Stealth. He is able to(not sure what to call this) but a dash that is able to make him go super fast. You might say, “Mira! Mikey is an idiot! How can he do this!?” To be fair, Mikey was likely able to use this technique after just two times of seeing it.

Dragon Mikey

Pretty self explanatory. When Mikey has the Amulet of The Acolytes, he is able to transform himself into a giant dragon. Although he becomes a giant dragon, the only thing he can is breath fire or shoot energy blasts from his mouth, which would be cool, although this WON’T be included in this blog *SEE BTV*

Rise Michelangelo Hamato

Hamato Ninpo

Hamato Ninpō is an ancient mystic power derived from a very powerful source of unknown origins that makes the art exclusive to the Hamato Clan called the Hamato essence, a type of life force that is passed down through generations of the clan. Hamato Ninpō gives its users access to the collective power of past Hamato Clan members, bestowing its users a large amount of mystic energy that grants them various superhuman abilities. Hamato commonly possess an additional ability (e.g., technology generation) as well as the base superhuman powers given by Hamato Ninpō, but many users don't possesses a unique ability exclusive to oneself because the large number of Hamato Clan members makes shared unique abilities inevitable and there are a limited amount of possible unique Hamato Ninpō abilities. Michelangelo has since unlocked this form due to the training he did with April/Karai, and gave him his whip abilities, fire generation, and even portal gateways(which is touched on)

Weaknesses

Michelangelo

Yeah, y'all can probably guess what Mikey's weaknesses are. Yeah, Mikey is a lazy, gluttonous, idiotic, immature mutant turtle. Yes, Mikey can have his moments of excellence, like in 2012, in the episode, “Parasiticawhere he was able to figure out the cure for a virus that was spread to all four of them, even stating that “I almost passed out, like, 19 times, bro. But I stayed with it long enough, hurting my brain to remember everything you said.”  or when he beat Rapahel in the Battle Nexus in the TMNT 2003 series. While this party dude may have his flaws like everyone else, Mikey will always prevail, and will show everyone that he can be a great Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

 Joseph Joestar

Among all the trickery and jokes Joseph plays, he has his weaknesses, like his ego, Joseph basically auto assumes that he can win a fight on an even playing field, he’s even done this with much stronger characters like Kars, of course he always has a trick but when he doesn’t he simply just resorts to blindly running away. Another weakness he has is that he has to breathe. Yes, he has to breathe to survive, but in this context, Joseph has to constantly breathe to use Hamon, and if he can’t breathe steadily, or he gets hit in the throat, Joseph can’t use Hamon, Even though Joseph may have a massive ego, and needs to breathe steadily, he still is a formidable opponent and a great hero to call himself a proud member of the Joestar Bloodline.

Before the Verdict…

Michelangelo

Dragon Mikey not being included(BUT DRAGONS ARE DOPE!)

As mentioned before, Mikey will not be using his Dragon Form from the 2003 series. Why, you ask? Well, it seems super iffy to use in this scenario. If Mikey was fighting against someone who had another form that is this big, then yes, but the only ones that will be used for Mikey are chi-empowered and Hamato Ninpo state.

Cross Dimensional Scaling, Turtle Power!

Now, this is a doozy to deal with, as the turtles have crossed over with the versions being used(Except Rise, RIP) But even then, The 1987 turtles have crossed over with both the 2003 and 2012 iterations of the turtles, and the 2003 have only crossed over with the 1987 version, while the 2012 version of the turtles have only crossed over with the 1987 iteration. While these versions have crossed over with each other, it would make sense that each iteration should respectively scale to one other(except for ROTTMNT, rip to it still)

 Joseph Joestar

Young Joseph having Hermit Purple

See, this is a very semi difficult subject to talk about. While Stands were introduced in Part 3 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures, Araki did confirm that if the Crusaders when back in time about fifty years ago, they would see a Young Joseph Joestar with Hermit Purple, which was confirmed here, and since this was confirmed by Araki, it makes sense to include this thorny stand into the battle between him and Mikey.

Did Red Hot Chili Pepper absorb all of Morioh’s electricity?

In Diamond is Unbreakable, one of the enemy stands known as Red Hot Chili Pepper has a feat where it channels all the electricity of Morioh into itself. The highest end for this absorption feat we’ve seen reached 427.3 kilotons of TNT, but there are issues with this; the calculation here used the method of how much electricity the town would go through annually, but at the time, RHCP was only absorbing the amount of electricity currently in the town, and was not absorbing the kWh (kilowatt-hour) that would make up an entire years worth of electricity consumption. If one were to assume RHCP only absorbed about 10 minutes worth of electricity (which contextually would work the best), it means RHCP only absorbed a total necessary amount of energy equalling 8.13 tons of TNT, which is far more consistent with the actual series’ feats.

Here Comes The Sun

The Sun has a feat where it heats up the air, which would get to 8.29 Tons of TNT, or Large Building Level. Obviously, it's less clear if the Stardust Crusaders would really scale to it since they didn’t directly fight it, but they still went against this stand

Stats

Jesus, how many months have I been working on this blog? Since October. Yeah, four months is a lot. Eh, that doesn’t matter. This is about the stats of this. Okay, so yeah, Mikey obviously takes strength in three possible iterations that is being 2003, Rise, and 2012, while 87 is the weakest one here, even though the strongest 87 has is being 5.14 Tons of TNT,which makes Mikey 2.5x stronger than Joseph with Joseph’s 2.04 Tons Of TNT, even through scaling, or without scaling, Mikey should obviously take strength here, with feats from 2012 being much higher than the 1 Kiloton of TNT that Joseph can scale to, while Mikey has a 21.6 Kiloton Of TNT feat from 03, or even the 5.7 Yottatons Of TNT, , the highest from 2012 being 164 Gigatons of TNT, and the ones from Rise being 40 Gigatons of TNT, 141 Gigatons TO 6.5 TERATONS Of TNT, and even 3.2 Petatons of TNT. So yeah, it’s kinda obvious who takes strength here. Now for speed. See, this is a tricky one. While Mikey can get to rela hell, things like 2012, and maybe 1987, they can get to FTL speeds, with 2012 having a 3.11C FTL feat, and 1987 having an 1.189c FTL feat, but that was Leo, who Mikey can scale, but with the 3.11 speed feat, that is the fastest they can get, besides the ship feat from 12 being 17 TRILLION X FTL, which seems weird in my opinion, but then they have a ship feat from 526 Million × FTL from 03, which is fishy too, but then Joseph has a speed feat being 2.324C FTL feat, which easily makes Mikey 1.3 times faster than Joseph, but then that’s when Old Man Joseph comes in. He can reasonably scale to people like Jotaro and Polnareff, but I feel like it’s a bit iffy in my own opinion. The reason why I say this is because Joseph is much older, and slightly more frail than before. If he took care of himself, he could easily scale, and yes, he’s been able to keep DIO following him, and even outsped him, it’s only null when The World. BUT I’m not saying he doesn’t get those scaling speed feats, I’m saying he should reasonably downscale a little. For that, Mikey gets two points, and Joseph gets one point!

Arsenal and Abilities

Okay, let’s go over arsenal and abilities for these two goofballs. I wonder who takes this. Whoever will it be? HMMMM!!! Yeah, Mikey takes this easily. He has so many weapons that he can pull from nowhere, but let’s explain Joseph’s. The Molotov Cocktail? It’s ineffective against Mikey since he has no wind powers to bring the oil onto his body. The Ripple Breathing Mask? I mentioned it since it helps him breath in a way, but that was for training. The Tequila Joseph Outfit? It’s a one and done situation, he only uses it to be a distraction for Mikey. The Grenades? Oh please, Mikey has survived rockets and many different things being thrown and or even blown on him. The only two that can do much are the Tommy Gun or the Clacker Balls. But let’s explain. The Tommy Gun is a good ranged weapon, and can even be used at close range, but if Mikey is smart enough, which he is, but he’s dumb, he can easily slash the gun in half with his Kusarigama, or just grab it with any of his grappling weapons he has, or he can throw a shuriken in it to completely destroy the gun by jamming it. And now, his signature Clacker Balls. Yeah, he’s screwed the same way. Any sharp objects can just slice the wire, like how Wired Beck did the same thing to Joseph in their fight. Mikey just has too many weapons for Joseph to handle, and can be overwhelmed by all of his weapons. Now onto abilities. This is a very tricky situation indeed. While Joseph has Hamon and Hermit Purple, which are really good abilities to use, Joseph can easily shut off Mikey’s brain, or heart, but Mikey is a master in the Chi Gong Technique, meaning he can slow his heart and breathing to trick Joseph, but then Joseph has Hermit Purple, which can easily grapple Mikey, and hold him in place, transferring the Hamon into Mikey’s body. Then Mikey has a huge amount of abilities too, with ‘02,’12, and Rise, and they can easily help Mikey out too, so in that case, it is a tie, but slightly leaning to Mikey. So Mikey has two more advantages, being his large arsenal, and his own abilities, while Joseph has his own abilities.

Tertiary Factors

Okay, let's go over the tertiary factors for this blog. It'll be Experience, Skill, and Intelligence. Okay, it’s obvious on who takes Skill here. Mikey takes skill by a landslide. Yes, Mikey is a massive slacker, and hates training, but he STILL learned everything that Master Splinter taught him and his brothers, and it’s even stated that Mikey has the most potential and natural talent, while Joseph has barely any fighting skill, mainly hand to hand combat, while Mikey has A LOT more than Joseph to even handle. Now, for Experience. See, Mikey takes it if it’s against Young Joseph, as Young Joseph had only, like two months, of training, while Mikey has had YEARS of experience fighting, with his brothers, and even other opponents. But that changes when it’s Old Man Joseph. He has YEARS of experience, due to being much older than Mikey. Now for the most obvious one, Intelligence. Now, Mikey isn’t entirely brain dead, and can even use his environment to his own whim to use as weapons,  but he’s not as smart as Joseph is. Joseph constantly outsmarts his opponents, and has outsmarted beings much older than him, and continued to do it at an older age. While yes, Mikey can have his moments, and be super unpredictable, Joseph just takes it full on. That is two advantages for Mikey, and two more for Joseph.

Now Mikey and JoJo have good ways to put each other down for good. Joseph can easily shut off Mikey’s vital organs, like his brain and his heart, but that’s the thing, Joseph would have to be able to hit Mikey before Mikey just completely destroys him with his higher AP. Yeah, Mikey’s AP is MUCH stronger than whatever Joseph can handle. While Joseph may be super attra- I mean super cool, and a great member of the Joestar bloodline with his Hamon, but Mikey’s stronger AP, faster speed(regarding the 17 Trillion or 526 Million X FTL speed feats), far more weapons, and better training had taken this Joestar’s breath.

Michelangelo

“Oh yeah, Mr. Spikeypants? Well, you're the one who should be saying… farewell to uh, to yourself!”

  • Not as much weapons/arsenal

  • Not as skilled as Mikey

  • Needs to breathe steadily to use Hamon

  • Less experienced if he’s Young Joseph although…

  • His arsenal can be countered pretty easily

  • Bri’ish

  • Had Josuke because Araki forced him

  • Constantly crashes planes

  • Voiced by Nux Taku in the JoJo rap

In conclusion, this matchup is kinda debatable. Hands down, Mikey would take strength most of the time. Yes 1987 is the weakest of the bunch being used, but 1987 can scale to things like 2012 and 2003, which should get them around the same strength. Then here comes the tricky part, Speed. While Mikey can be faster, Joseph isn't as slow as Mikey, but it's possible that Joseph can tag Mikey, but that is if Mikey doesn't just, you know, kill him in one shot. Yeah, no matter what you give Joseph, Mikey will still curb stomp the hell out of Joseph, and with that little speed gap, Mikey should just win.

With that speed and strength advantage, Mikey can easily use any of his many weapons to take down Joseph. Now abilities. While Joseph has amazing things like Hamon and Hermit Purple, Mikey just has too many abilities, and potential one shot moves that can put Joseph down for good.

While Joseph was a formidable opponent, Mikey just went Ham on Joseph, giving him a shell of a bad time, leaving Joseph breathless, having him say "Oh No", and making Mikey the real star of this fight.

The winner is Michelangelo

One More Thing

Finally. It's done. It's been SIX MONTHS since I've been working on this blog. Yeah, my progress on this blog was semi slow. I was super occupied with IRL stuff, then working on the blog for Shifu VS Splinter from Saul(love that man, thank you so much for allowing me to help out with that)  but it's ironic that this blog is my second favorite MU and it's my second blog. This blog was so much fun to do, and a hassle to find things for JoJo's part 1 and 2.  But it was fun respecting Mikey, and HE DESERVES IT.

Also, credit to Advent_Chao for making the scaling section
